Best weight for woman 5'7''

Quote  |  Reply

What is your opinion on the best weight for female that's 5'7'', 27 years old?

I am 150, I am in the healthy BMI range, but I look horrendous in a bikini.  Also, I wear a size 10!  I want to be smaller.  How much do you think I need to weigh to look in a bathing suit?

I am 5'7", I am sixteen. My goal is 140.

:o

you probally should just tone up to look better in a bikini

I used to think that the best size for women who are 5'7 is around 130-140, but I weigh 158 and am a size 6 or 8, so it really all depends. A size 10 doesn't look bad in swimsuits, either. But nice strong thighs, some abs, a strong and shapely back, and nice shoulders truly make for a hot bathing suit lady :)

Try toning.  Your at a great weight already.

it really does depend on ur body type, im about 135 but i wear a size 1-3 when most chicks my size wear a lot bigger. since you're already in a healthy weight range you should probably look more at your actual measurements vs. weight for a more accurate reading of whats good for you.

I'm 5"7, currently 172, but I looked best at 133lbs :) Skinny but still curvy.

im around 150 too & think I look horrible in a bikini too!!! but i know i just need to tone up to look better & not lose a lot of weight. i wear a between  a 5-7, but a lot of my shorts/jeans are beginning to get tighter on me :(

I'm just under 5'7. I am about 128 lbs. My highest weight was about 147 and my lowest 124. I was quite thin at 124, but because I carry all my weight in my thighs and butt I felt I could still lose a few more. I always thought that at 125 I would be smooth and toned all over, but I am not! still don't look great naked... or in a bikini!

I guess it depends on your frame. I am small and don't carry weight well. So on a purely aesthetic level I prefer to be between 120-125.

yep!  you gotta tone up.  it's not the numbers.  it's how you look & feel.  :D

Ummm... I don't want to be mean or anything, but you posted pictures of yourself on your profile, and if those are the "fat photos," then in no way do you look horrendous in a bikini. Horrendous involves love handles, bulgy gut, huge thighs, stretch marks, etc etc.

Sorry, but I don't think you have a realistic perception of what looks good and what doesn't. You claim that you have a huge hiney, when in fact you just have thighs, as is normal for any woman. If I had seen your picture somewhere else, I probably would have thought something along the lines of "that lucky *beep,* she's got a great body!" Maybe you used to be a lot thinner in high school or something, but I bet you were more active, and what you're missing is lean lines (as per the recommendations of those above you, saying that you should try and tone up)

Do what you want, of course, but if you're really unhappy with your body, I don't think weight loss is going to help.

I am 5'7 and weigh 175...

I think your weight is normal, but I recommend just toning for that bikini.

I think most women look the best somewhere between 17-23% body fat. Anything higher then 25% and they are probably pretty unhappy with how they look. Doesn't matter how tall you are or what you weigh. Jessica Alba is probably around 17%-18%.

highviscocity, who are you refering to?

Hmm well i weigh 193 at 5'6 - 5'7 and i will  never ever wear a bikini (by choice)

but after I toned a little bit i look so much better.

My arms are shaped, my legs aren't as jiggly, i can make muscle pop in my fore arms. The only downside to this is that I look in the mirror a lot more now, and sometimes its time consuming :p

...

I know this is a late responce, but by looking at your pictures, you do not need to lose weight. you're just self-conscious. heck you're more toned than I am and look better than I do and I'm 115 pounds and 5'4". :|

I would have NEVER guessed you were 150. Your 150 is like my 135. Really, you look great. You are really well proportioned. I agree with what people are saying. As long as you are exercising and eating healthy for the most part I wouldn't stress out about weight loss. Focus on toning parts of your body you aren't happy with. Feeling more muscular in these areas will probably give you the confidence boost you need!

WHAT?!  You look AMAZING.  I'm 5'7", 133 lbs, and I'm soooo jealous.

That's because you are too thin...

How do you think this kind of post will help the OP?

OP: I'm with the guys who recommend toning. please ignore any underweight children who reply to your perfectly rational question... telling you how skinny they are really isn't going to help.

I always felt too embarrassed (with no earthly reason) to wear a bikini, but now I'm 43, so it's kinda too late. My advice? tone up a bit, and wear that bikini with pride, girl!!

I'm 5'7" and I'm 135 but I look terrible in a bikini in my opinion. My lowest weight was 107 and my highest weight was 139. I want to get back down to 115
