Bmr-can't figure it out. To net or just eat?

Quote  |  Reply
I've been reading so many people's many opinions on bmr's and I was wondering if I could get a direct answer..

My bmr is 1600. My tdee is 2100 on my daily average and 2500 on exercise days.

From what I understand 1600 is the min I should be eating daily with no exercise.

Should I continue eating 1600 on no exercise days?

Should I eat more on exercise days?

Should I be netting 1600 or simply eating 1600 and whatever else I burn be counted towards my deficit?

I have 50lbs to lose.

Some people do eat less on non work out days and more on work out days. I'd say eat your BMR on non workout days and a little more on workout days or stick to an average between the two and you will sort of even out.

Also remember overweight you can have -1000 net cals/deficits, where in healthy weight range 500-800 range most (if you cal cycle) but ideally -500 daily. So eat back some cals if you have huge deficits :)
