Is bragging allowed?
I don't want to waste a lot of people's time is just that.....
TODAY I HIT 40 LBS LOST!!!! FOURTY!
That's like a slightly obese kindergartener. I lost an entire small human being!
Now, just so that I don't feel like such an attention mongerer.....does anyone else want to brag about anything? Share, we can all celebrate together. If someone else has something good I will eat a suger-free pudding in your honor.
wow congrats!
HELLS YEAH bragging is allowed! Especially after working so hard to lose 40 lbs, that's freakin' phenomenal!
I'm 0.6 lbs from losing my first 25, and only 10.6 more to go to reach my next mini-goal by my birthday, May 1st!
WOOHOOO LET THE BRAGGING AND EATING OF SUGAR-FREE PUDDING BEGIN!
C'mon guys & gals, lets do a little patting each other, and ourselves, on the back for our accomplishments ... big or small, congratulate yourselves!
Congrats to you too kitty.....25 lbs was a big milestone for me....kind of like the moment you look at yourself and go.."Wow, I'm really going to do this!"
Hey Congrats
I have hit a plateau. But I have to congragulate myself for being regular to gym.
CONGRATS!!! That's awesome!!!!!
I wouldnt call it bragging - its more of sharing your accomplishments with others...LOL
BTW congrats!
Congrats!
I only lost 6, but I was only trying to lose 5-10, so I can't complain.
Bragging is WONDERFUL...I hope I get the chance soon but I'm battling the plateau from HELL!![]()
Congratulations !!
Im so jealous - i've hit my plateau at a total of 39lbs lost - that big 40 is taunting me ![]()
Its going to have to taunt me a little longer though cause Ive decided to have a cheat lunch and I cant wait.
I've gotta congratulate myself for passing the 2 and a half stone mark. My fiance is not going to recognise me when he gets back home to Scotland.
Woo hoo! I hit 20 lbs lost yesterday... working on the next 20 now. Congrats to everyone!
How long did it take you? I'm getting increasingly frustrated with little results on my end. (literally!)
Hey, if you can't brag on here? Where can you brag?!
Congrats! You must feel great!
I'm 1lb away from 30! And very excited!
Unfortunately, my kindergartener is pretty tall (but not overweight by any means), so I haven't quite lost 1/2 of her yet. ;o) But it's pretty crazy to think that when I reached the maintenance part of this journey, I will have lost 10lbs shy of her weight! Can you imagine??? It would be like I was piggy backing her around for the last couple years. Uggg!
Thanks for putting that into perspective for me! I had been using my free weights to judge what I had lost, but this definetely hits closer to home!
Keep up the great work!
Yeah yeah you go get em girl! Good job!!!!
Chevvy![]()
Nice!!!! I can't wait till I have news like this to share with everyone! I'm just starting out and hope to stay in for the long run!!!
CONGRATS to you!!!!
Brag away! We're here to motivate each other. To hear about someone's success is always wonderful!
Woo hoo!!!! ![]()
Weight loss is hard work, so bragging is definitely allowed. Anything to keep you in good spirits is allowed :-D...so I must brag now. I am 3 lbs away from losing my first 25 and I'm down to a size 16! yay! I'm super happy, this is the most I've ever been able to lose...28 lbs away from my goal of 190/a size 13-14 (I don't know about anyone else, but I loooove being thick and I just want to be healthy thick. So forward I go!!!
I thought I would throw out some words of praise and inspiration (not that any of you need any) mainly to the folks who are seeing little results or plateauing... let me say I also plateaued when I was on a serious weight loss regiment (but I knew it was coming....I expected it)....what I can tell you from my experience is make some small changes....either add a little more nutrition....change up your exercise routine...or maybe try zig-zagging bottom-line DONT GET FRUSTRATED...just understand its the way it is....dont look at the number....but look at the health benefits in the end....if you only think of it as a diet then its a short term thing which probably means it will come back...if its a "lifestyle change" then you will succeed...BTW for those wondering I lost over 70 lbs...have kept it off over 2 years and at age 50 I run 10k's....2 years ago I was on medication for this and that....today ZERO - NONE - NADA....If you remember nothing remember these words I used to help me get through the day "the race isnt always won by the fastest runner - its won by the one who completed the race" its the same principal in your quest. Good luck to everyone....you guys rock in my book!
Dave
I hit 52 lbs lost today! YAY! Only 70 something to go.... D'oh
bragging is not only allowed; it's encouraged!
