buying diet pills on ebay

Quote  |  Reply
I took a chance and bought some diet pills on Ebay. I figured what the heck...i can't lose...they offered me a money back guarantee. Reviews were good so I took a chance. So far, I have had a significant reduction in my appetite. I have had to force myself to eat a few times and I've had marvelous energy too! I can't believe it...something actually worked! I've bought so much crap from GNC over the years to help curb my appetite and nothing ever worked.

This is awesome!

Tainted spinach was all over the news...some people's children died from it.
I would not buy diet pills anywhere. Not only on ebay. But especially on ebay.
As I said earlier, it is not the way to learn how to eat healthy. It's just a quick fix. If you want to do it that way, do it. Just be aware you will probably gain all the weight back once you stop taking that pill.
I'll say this again. I CANNOT EAT DURING WORK BECAUSE I AM A WAITRESS. So this has nothing to do with learning how to eat healthy. My diet is very, very healthy. I don't eat sugar, I don't even eat processed food. I eat controlled portions too.

BUT, I have to go six hours without eating at work because we are not allowed to eat during work PLUS there is no way to even stop and eat as busy as I am at work. I work at a restaurant in the mall and we are slammed all day long. I get hungry at noon and feel faint. I have to be able to focus to do my job well so I can make good tips. If I start forgetting drinks and desert then my tips suffer. My brain loses focus when I'm hungry. The supplements I am taking are not a shortcut to weight loss. I am counting calories and exercising for weight loss. The pills I take help keep me from getting hungry during periods that I cannot eat.
Oh yeah, and I didn't thank Ruthie for looking something up because I didn't ask her to look it up in the first place.

The FDA? Regulation? Humbug. What about all the "FDA approved" drugs that end up being recalled?

For instance: Drugmaker Merck & Co. pulled its best-selling arthritis drug Vioxx off the market on September 30, 2004, based on drug trial data indicating Vioxx increases the risk of heart attack and stroke among users.

On December 17, 2004, Pfizer announced that it found an increased risk of heart attack with patients taking its top selling drug Celebrex. The increased risk of heart attack was reported in a long term cancer prevention study conducted by the National Cancer Institute on behalf of Pfizer. The study halted the use of Celebrex after discovering that patients taking 400mg to 800mg of Celebrex daily had 2.5 times greater risk of experiencing major heart problems.
Oxycontin, produced by Purdue Pharma is commonly prescribed to treat arthritis, back pain, cancer, and other serious painful conditions. Oxycontin has been linked to over a hundred deaths and its addiction has been compared to that of heroin. In July, 2001, at the request of the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), the manufacturer agreed to add a black box warning (the FDA's strongest warning) calling Oxycontin as potentially addictive as morphine, and sent out letters to doctors asking them to only prescribe Oxycontin for severe pain. In January 2003, the FDA issued a stern warning against the manufacturer, in response to the manufacturer's placement of ads in a popular medical journals "grossly overstating" the drugs safety.
Kind of sounds like your employer needs a smack up the side of the head!! Wow - is that in accordance with your local labour laws?  Seems like it shouldn't be....

I think it's safe to say that we should ALL watch what we blindly put in our mouths - there is a horror story for each thing be it from a health food store or the pharmacy counter - we have to be proactive in our own health.
So, tell me, why should I even trust the FDA or the drug manufacturers?
It's not my employers fault. When customers come in to eat, they have to be served, or I don't have a job. I am allowed to eat after 2pm, but many times the customers don't stop coming in until 3.

How would you like it if you went to eat at a restaurant and the waiter said, "I'm sorry, I can't give you proper service because I have to go eat."

It's just LIFE. It's not my employer. Plus I am sure there are many Doctors in the ER at busy hospitals like Chicago and New York who have to go many, many hours without eating especially if they are in surgery.

This is about dealing with life on life's terms. Sometimes you can't control everything around you and you have to make adjustments and that's what I did.
I personally see nothing wrong with taking supplements, if you know what you are doing and you educate yourself about them.  An appetite suppressant is not the same thing as a stimulant laden "diet" pill.  Also there are many supplements on the market and alternative health items that are better treatments than so called "conventional" drugs.  Don't even get me started on asthma treatments and such...

As with anything you should be careful, but shopping online from a reputable person is no different than buying your vitamins at a GNC.  I worked for several months at a nutrition center and could buy stuff cheaper online even after my 30% employee discount so needless to say being a single mom I buy my supplements online.  I supplement to treat/prevent asthma and allergies and I take a whole foods vitamin for overall health.  When I need some energy or a little more "oomph" for a work day I take ginseng and a sublingual b vitamin.

I am with you panda on not trusting the FDA too many things have been approved that harmed too many people because where there is big money there is greed and people's health is not the primary concern it's the bottom line.  Why else do they create all these "cures" that require you to take a pill for life?? We are the richest nation on earth yet the statistics show we are also the sickest.... seems fishy to me.  I don't trust pharmaceutical companies and I sure as heck don't put my faith in the government to protect me.
Maybe take a deep breath - I can see WHY your wound up but I was only feeling for you that you had to go so long without food.

Personally  - I think it's up to the employer to ensure you get your break - I would not eat at a place that I knew didn't ensure their staff were treated properly.  I would never equate my supper with being of the same importance as an essential service person giving life saving service....but that's me - I am sure your right and lots of customers think having to wait an extra 10 minutes or so is the end of the world - I am just not one of them.  :)

You made some very good points above and I would take an all natural supplement and if it curbed my appetite I would think "Bonus"!!  So please don't think I am on the attack here - I am not and nothing I have said on this matter would indicate that.  So here is a big hug to you and a wish that you don't take this all to heart - you did a nice thing - some people just disagreed with you that's all.  Take care!
I am guessing that you've never worked at a restaurant? I've worked in many and it's just the way things go in the restaurant world. I'm sure you might think it's just a matter of talking to the boss but in REALITY we, as servers, take it as a given that you aren't going to be eating during lunch rush! We don't have "spare waiters" sitting around who are going to pick up my slack if I stop to eat.

Look, I am really tired of arguing. I don't get to eat at work, it's just life. That's the way it goes. Like I said, a brain surgeon (not that I am one) doesn't stop in the middle of surgery for "lunch."
You would be guessing wrong.  And I was fired from my first job as a waitress for demanding a break because my militant Mom told me to!!  LOL  Anyways Panda - you seem determined to be contrary so Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours and I hope your day gets better.
ROXANNED

Thanks for the hug, I appreciate it and I know you aren't attacking me. It just feels like many people are because they didn't understand. Some indicated that I should have given more information, but I didn't see the need to go into all the details of my life in my first post. The whole gardening thing was just silly to me...heck...i might live in Alaska for all she knows.

But yes, as I said, most restaurants don't really think it's as big deal to go 6-7 hours without a lunch break. When you're slammed, you're slammed and it's not about proper treatment...it's about gettting the customer fed. And even then, some of them are still grouchy!
/contrary. LOL. Yes, I should take a deep breath and count to TEN.

<<<Panda now goes to her happy place!>>>>

Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
I hear you!  It is a bit of a curse of this site that anything that strays from the path or tries something different is almost shunned...I don't want to use that term but it has that feel to it.  You just be who you are and share what you will - just expect some people to jump on you for it.  It's black and white to them.

By the way - You are a very intelligent person!  Are you going to university or anything??  You could be an advocate or a lawyer easily!!  :)  Take good care and here 's another hug for the road!
Iv worked at many restaurants but we were allowed to eat whenever we wanted if it was slow.. heck, even if it was super busy..id pick at something.. hence is why i i stopped working at them lol (but i work in a coffee/sweets place now... but i dont like to eat the food cuz everyone is on a diet it seems and id feel like they were giving the "no, dont eat that! look). anyways, all the restaurants i worked at....didnt allow breaks because there was never enough people to cover you when you left....so i udnerstand where you are coming from. are you allowed to pick at a meal replacement bar or eat a quick yogurt or something that you brought from home?
We've been told not to let them see us chewing. So I'd have to make a point to go in the kitchen and pick at something and that would not go over well with the cooks when they're busy...we just get in their way.

My only option would be to go in the bathroom and pull a meal replacement bar out and eat it.

Unfortunately, since it's the holidays and we're in the mall, people are waiting to get in right when we open and they come in droves all day long and we basically have to kick them out! (not really LOL). We really don't get slow right now, but in jan. we will be dead.
I am an ebay power seller. My husband and I started a business to supplement our income (we are both teachers and make no money). I do not sell diet pills (though I will freely admit I do buy them from ebay). We sell liquidation merchandise from the largest home shopping network and most of the time it is brand new. I know there are scammers on ebay as there anywhere else. However, if a seller has a lot of negative feedback do not buy from them. If they have great feedback they are probably fine. The diet pills probably come from the same type of thing my husband and I do and they come straight from the manufacturer .

Believe me there are jobs where you do not have time to eat at work. I get 20 minutes for lunch and ten minutes of that is spent  taking my kids to lunch and picking them up. The other 10 is usually spent on silly pursuits (such as using the bathroom).

It also amazes me that someone could try and help others by posting something that works for them and someone could tell them to grow a garden. How many people really have a garden? I might could find time but there are so many other things I need and want to be doing instead.
I purchase Ergolean AMP on ebay and swear by it, too.  It dulls my appetite and gives me a boost before workout. Never had a "crash" from it.
I wouldn't buy drugs full stop *shrugs*.

That aside the tablet sounds more like appetite suppresant than anything else.

Not a good thing.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
