Calorie defecit??

Quote  |  Reply
I'm 5'2", 126lbs. My goal is 115lbs. My BMR is about 1400. How many calories should I be eating a day to reach my goal relatively quickly?

Also I could use some slimming excersize suggestions. I tend to bulk up easily, and it drives me insane.

Don't eat below bmr, especially if you are exercising (I mean you can but exercising for a deficit is much better by this weight your at). If you are at a deficit you can't bulk, I mean maybe if you ate only junk food could cause more squishy.

Bulking up needs a calorie surplus and sometimes bulking aids and in combination of lifting it is usually meant for building muscle then go for fat loss after. It would be really hard to accidentally bulk, newbie gains which is rare one can have slight muscle growth at a deficit for a short period and even then it changes your composition for the better (ie fat loss).

Lifting heavy at a deficit, though shows for slow loss rather than just going for straight weight loss with diet and maybe cardio. If you want your muscle tone to show you need to reduce body fat % a good way to go is lifting with at a deficit.

Hope that helps :)

A Week of Clean-Eating Dinners

It’s easy to pay close attention to what I’m eating on the weekends when I’ve got tons of time on my hands to prepare delicious meals, but during the week when time is less available I feel the pull of convenience foods for their, well, convenience. Here’s what I try to live by when all I have is 30 minutes to prepare a "clean" meal.
