I cant look at the scale anymore!

Quote  |  Reply

I cannot look at the scale anymore. It is driving me insane! I was at my lowest at 132 a couple months ago and I felt very skinny but flabby. Now i am up to 140! ahhh! But I am lifting very heavy and doing cardio constantly. I incorporate HIIT, boxing and dancing- which I am in a professional company.

I feel so incredibly good and healthy! I just dont wan't to gain all my weight back, it terrifies me. My bf is so fit and he eats cookies and whatever he wants and has a six pack. It is so hard to resist temptation when he puts it in my face and tells me to have one!!! I need to stay strong and not get discouraged.

Do you think it is possible to for some one who is 5'4" to be 125 and still be muscular and fit?

I think that someone can have those stats and be fit. I'm not sure about 'muscular' because that depends on your definition of muscular. I think that if someone were to look muscular to me, they'd weigh more than 125 pounds at 5'4" but they wouldn't look like it.

I just went to the doctor this week and when I weighed in, they made me re-weigh because they didn't believe someone as small as I was could weigh 'so much' (which was still in the healthy weight range for my height). It's because of the weigh training.

Don't put so much stock in what the scale says. Have you taken your measurements?

I haven't measured in awhile.  I need too! I tell people at work I weigh 140- and they say the same thing.

I am changing my goal to 130- bc I dont wanna look so incredibly skinny- I just wanna look cut and in shape!

I would actually say that it is VERY do-able to be 5'4", 125 lbs and "muscular" (obviously depending on definition.) You're a female so I am going to assume that you do not want to have bulging muscles, but some nice muscular definition. I am 5'7", 140lbs currently. I have gained about 5-7 lbs in the last 7 months or so. I am MORE than happy when I weigh 130 lbs and I am a curvy female! (Thankfully so!)  I have also been 127lbs and still had curves. If someone of my height can be that weight and still look healthy, i am QUITE sure someone of your height can be 125 lbs and have some muscle :) Good luck!
