Just can't do it! Need advice...

Quote  |  Reply
I'm at the gym 5/6 times a week, for an hour each time. I'm hitting around a 500 calorie deficit each day but the weight isn't shifting. It's been 3 weeks since I've been seriously going for it, I know this isn't long but I haven't even dropped a pound! I'm 121lbs, 5ft4 and trying to get down to 115lbs. Does anybody have advice on what I need to do?

Did you measure yourself before you started exercising? It could be that you are gaining muscle and getting leaner and dropping inches vs seeing it on the scale (muscle weighs more than fat).

If that is not the case, then another thing might be that you are eating to little or eating too much. How much are you eating? Since your body is closer to an ideal weight it is going to be harder to see your weight drop on the scale.

Unfortunately, and stupidly, I didn't measure myself before starting. But I did measure myself yesterday so I keep an eye on my measurements from now on. I'm consuming about 1400 calories a day.

Check out the first picture on my board...I look at it all the time to help me keep motivated :-)

Are you burning more calories then what you eat?
