How many carbs on a 1200 calorie diet?

I'm worried I may be way over or way under the number of carbs I should have! I am on a 1200 calorie diet.

As many healthy carbs as you'd like!
i am on a 1200 cal diet also...how tall are you..ijust eat whate er is going to fill me up the most
I've heard something about breaking it down as a percentage (which CC does for us!)

40% from protein
40% from carbs
20% from fat

or something along those lines. Like already stated, where those carbs come from makes a huge difference. Are you eating whole grains and fruits, or are you eating garbage Luna bars and white bread?
40% protein is FAR too high. Even body builders only eat around 25-30% protein a day. Fat should be 20-30%, protein 10-20% and carbs 50-60%. Check out the Mayo Clinic for guidelines to help you stay within healthy limits. They use the 2000 calorie diet, but you can adapt for yourself.

I eat 50% carbs.
I would eat abour 120 carbs but if your doing any activity you need more than 1200 calories and thus more carbs.
I was curious so I looked at my own intake over the past couple of weeks. Here's what CC says:

Fat - 34.0% (461 grams)
Protein - 22.1% (674 grams)
Carbohydrates - 42.6% (1,298 grams)
Alcohol - 1.3% (23 grams)

I got an A- (I know I didn't add some cheat meals in there, though)
heres a calculator that gives you %s for all different types of eating:

http://www.freedieting.com/tools/nutrient_cal culator.htm

it counts it all out for you. its pretty neat.

the recc. gen.  ranges:
Carbs: 45 to 65% of total Calories
Fats: 20 to 35% of total Calories
Protein: 10 to 35% of total Calories

Hi good luck to you, I just requested that information from my doctor, who stated 20-60 grams of complex carbs.   That info helped me out to make better decisions.

I disagree. I eat 50% protein, 30% fat and the rest carbs. I lost 130 pounds.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
