Cortisol Hoodia

Almost 2 years ago I began my weight loss adventure.  I was up to 218. The highest weight I had ever been.  This was 2 years after having my daughter.  My pre pregnancy weight was 175.  I went on a 1200 calorie diet and had a goal of 160. My husband went on a 1500 calorie diet at the same time.  We both lost a lot of weight. I was down to 176! Almost to my pre pregnany weight. My husband reached his goal weight and stopped dieting. Watchin him eat more made it harder for me to stick to the 1200 calories.  I gave into temptation and gave up the diet.  I tried several times to get back on track but just couldn't seem to do it. I would eat only 1200 to 1500 calories one day and binge the next.  I compulsivly snacked, and did emotional eating too.  last week I stepped on the scale and I was back up to 200 lbs! I had sworn to myself when I reached 199 on the original diet that I would never be 200 again.  Sunday I bought Body Choice Cortisol Hoodia at Costco and started back on the 1200 calorie diet.  It seems to be working! I have not had any trouble sticking to the 1200 calories so far. I feel full all the time even when I have only eaten an apple in the last 4 hours.  It's not just a feeling of not hungry, it's a feeling of being full.  I can eat even when I am not hungary so that wouldn't work, but feeling full all the time is working.  I love it!  I havn't had it that long so I will have to post an update in a couple of months or so as to wether it really works long term or not.  Has anyone else used this product?  Has it worked long term for anyone here?

I dont think it is a good idea to take those pills and barely eat. Even if you are successful in losing the weight, as soon as you stop taking those pills and resume to regular eating patterns, all that weight is going to come back plus some. You should eat 3 healthy meals a day, have some snacks in between, drink lots of water and exercise. That is the only way you are going to lose weight in a healthy manner AND keep it off. You have to make a permanant lifestyle change.

I hear you, I know it needs to be a lifestyle change to really last. (I watched that on Dr. Phil).  And I hear you about the pills too, they aren't natural and could have side effects. Here is the deal though, I am not under eating, 1200 calories is a safe ammount of calories for weight loss according to this website.  I however can not seem to stick it out on the 1200 calorie diet without something to help me.  When I reach my goal weight I will be able to increase my calories to 2000 or even 2100 to maintain that weight. So 1200 is not going to be a permenant lifestyle, it is actually only until the end of October if I stick to it.  2000 will be a lot easier to stick to for a lifestyle change.  The Hoodia is just helping me out to get down to my goal.  also, I researched the hoodia, it has no reported side effects.  It is natural because it is made from the extract of a cactus that grows in Africa.  It is not a man made chemical it is nature made.  I do need to somehow make excersize a part of my daily routine, and turn it into a habbit, that is right. It is easier said than done though. As for the water, in the past I did not drink enough water, but now I am in the habbit of carrying water with me all day and I drink plenty now. Thanks for the advice, I am still going to try out this hoodia for a couple of months though.

PS I am trying to make sure that most of the 1200 calories comes from healthy foods, not junk. I intend to make that a lifstyle change.
