Sometimes it can be so discouraging. A pound is a big deal. A pound can almost remove a double chin. Seriously.

super motivating pictures! Thanks for sharing

Wow that's so cool - thanks I appreciate that a lot!  I'm aiming to lose 0.5kg/week ((~1 pound) and it seems so hard; but at least now I know why!

Thanks :)

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

I was kinda bummed yesterday to see no loss at my weekly weigh in.

Then I see this thread Laughing  - so even though yesterday was a big fat zero, I can now have a visual of what 20lbs lost actually LOOKS like!  Thanks again.

OMG! That is motivating!! Just thinking of that inside me makes me wanna lose it so fast!!!

Wow thats definatly scary when you'r gaining! Hahah

Ugh! That's what's under my skin?... I'll be on the elliptical all day tomorrow... Lol

Wow, that doesn't seem possible. But I guess we loss that but all over. I've lost 19 of those!

Nice pictures lol!

Also remember: 1 of those pounds is worth 3500 kcal, or in other words: 3 Pizzas or 68 Apples :D

Also don't think too bad of fat, it's plain energy used to power our body, without fat we wouldn't live.

Agreed. Jeez, I don't SEE that much of a difference, lol!

Thanks for posting I was trying to find a good scale 1 pound of fat pic a while ago, to show someone. :)

I've lost 150 of those. Ewww.

We're born with all these potential fat cells....wouldn't it be healthier just to liposuction them out of our metabolism altogether?  I'll never do it, but it seems logical...even when I was a thin and lean 130 lbs, running 10 miles/day, one guy said to me...I wouldn't marry you because you have a "rotten butt" meaning that he could see a little cellulite--even at this 18% bodyfat weight!  So, lipo??? Looking better all the time...what's your opinion??

Fat cells die off and are removed from the body as you get your body fat lower and closer to essential body fat through a process called apoptosis, which is the death of those cells, basically from cell starvation. In other words, if you are at 18 percent body fat, liposuction is stupid when all you really have to do is lose ten more pounds to remove excess cells and cellulite naturally.

WHAT?!?!  PLEASE tell me that you're not still with him??  If he wont marry you cos you have a little fat now; how about when you're pregnant, or as you start getting wrinkles etc..  A marriage based only on physical appearances is bound to fail!  Your appearance will change which he may not be happy with later.

ARH I cant believe he said that!  Unacceptable!

Thanks for that--so right you are, but I can't for the life of me find a husband because of my little hefty butt:-)

Thanks for the reply--most articles have us believe that fat cells are merely inflatable and deflatable---  very nice kitty there too-am a kitty fan!
