don't know what to do!

Quote  |  Reply
I'm still a teenager and all these adults say my body is still changing and not to worry, but I've been killing myself all through high school to lose my tummy and thighs! I've downloaded all the apps, tried all the diets and exercised to the point where i have had bad back issues (long clumsy story) and still have not lost more than a pound. With my family it is hereditary, but i refuse to accept that i cant change my weight! Considering my age, diet pills aren't an option and I want to lose it more naturally than any of the surgeries my parents offer. I am 5'11 (so basically an amazon) and just under 190 Lbs. Chub is the last thing i need! I've been working out and eating as healthy as possible, but is there any other tips that I can look forward to trying?

Have you tried toning? It does wonders!!!

Also count your calories and see how many you're really consuming. Then start from there with a plan.

Only eat complex carbs. Try eating clean. It really works. Look up Tosca Reno, her books awesome.
Look up pinkmethod.com it's a great diet and you gain muscle while you lose weight.

Weight loss is mostly diet.  Exercise will help you stay healthy- cardio is good for your heart, and weight lifting is good for your bones and for building/maintaining muscle, but you can't out exercise your mouth.  Actually, too much exercise is not good because it will be catabolic-destroy your muscles and can cause injury,

You should try weight lifting.  If you do compound exercises-squats, deadlifts, bench press, lat pulldown, you will get a full body workout.  Lift heavy and you will get strong and some definition.  If you can, lift 3 times a week, if not 2 times is good.  I would also limit your cardio so your body can rest. 1-2 a week is sufficient.

Since you only have a little bit of weight to lose, you should try to lose it slowly, max 1lbs a week.  If you try to lose weight quickly at your state, you will lose muscle mass along with fat and look the same.  Try to get an approximate maintenance for calories (how many you would need to eat to stay the same weight) and eat 250-500 calories less than that every day.  Eat more on days you lift and eat enough protein.  Your diet should include complex carbs, lean protein, healthy fat, veggies, fruit, nuts and seeds.  Eat healthy, eat food that you like, stop stressing out-stress inhibits weight loss, and enjoy your youth.

Also pinkmethod was on Dr. Phil, so I am skeptical.

Great advice from smashley!

Good luck!Smile

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
