Turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread with mustard, 2 raw carrots and 2 celery stalks
I like Joseph's pita or tortilla wraps and making sandwiches/wraps with whatever I can find! Add some hummus and taboule with pita. Any form of lean protein with veggies (grill it to mix them up), add parmesan/ mozzarella spari ngly and get creative with sauces/dips/dressings! I like to mix different spices and herbs with greek yogurt or olive oil. I usually like to have a base, an acid (like lemon or lime) and then other spices/herbs (basil, parsley, cilantro, oregano, curry, chilli powder, mustard powder, garlic powder), add in other flavors like garlic, onions, peppers, tomatoes, etc. and you have a really awesome sandwich! I do this for marinades, dips, sauces and salad dressings.
Greek yogurt (preferably plain, to which you can add >1 tbsp of honey for flavor), a piece of "heavy" fruit (ie, banana), some "lighter" fruit-- maybe watermelon, veggies (carrots, celery, red pepper), hummus and pita. Lots of food, balanced, not a ton of calories. So yummy too!
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
