Eating timetable

I am a 21 year old girl from Catalunya (Spain) and I've lived my whole life following a healthy Mediterranean diet. However, as far as I know, we eat at weird hours compared to the rest of Europe. Right now I'm studying in Germany, and I've found that my eating times are a bit different.

At home, I used to eat breakfast at 8am, then a small snack at 11pm and lunch at 2.30pm or 3pm. After school, I would eat another snack at about 6pm, and wouldn't eat dinner until 9.30pm or sometimes even 10pm. I'd then go to bed at about 12am. The thing is that here in Germany I have breakfast at 7am (and a snack later in the morning) and I find that at 12pm I'm hungry, so I eat lunch at that time. And then, I'm very, very hungry again at 6pm, and I would eat dinner at that time but I just find it soooo early. I'm just not used to it.

I find it very hard to wait until 8.30pm or 9pm, which would be the normal for me. I know I just adjust to eating earlier, but lunch at 12 and dinner at 6 sound very strange to me. What if I get hungry at 11pm then? :

So, I'm very curious about your eating timetable. Where are you from and at what times do you eat? What is normal in your country and what would be the ideal eating hours if I wake up at 7.30am?

I'm in Canada (Montreal) and we do a bit of both worlds...During the week, I'll wake up hungry at 7h, have breakfast and then by noon I'm absolutely starving so I'll have a regular lunch, then after work (around 6pm), I'll have dinner let's say around 7pm, feels weird but I can't wait until 8-9pm.

On the week-ends, I eat breakfast around 9-9h30, lunch at 2-3 pm and then dinner around 9h30-10h... after that, I just can't seem to get any food in...

Breakfast...wake up at 7 eat from 8-9

Breakfast 2/snack: 11:30

Snack: 12:30 or 1 depends on how hungry I am

Lunch: 2:45-3:30

Snack: 5:30-6

Dinner: 8

Snack: 9-10

Usually I'm in bed my midnight, if I eat too early then i'm starving before bed. I'm from California by the way!! I would suggest you eat when you wake up...so around 8 or so...then have a light snack at 10 and your lunch at 12 since you have to...then pack a light snack for after lunch to hold you over until dinner time at 6 and eat again a few hours later. you just have to adjust you know?? 

My breakfast throughout the week ranges from 7:30-9:30 am, lunch from 12:30-3:30pm, and then dinner ranges from 5:00-7:30pm.   But this is just due to varying class times at university.


What I grew up with (and what i prefer) is breakfast whenever I wake up, lunch between 12-1, and dinner at 6.   I'm never hungry at night after dinner no matter how late I stay up.
