Fat above eyelids but below eyebrows.

Hello!

I have a bit of fat above my eyes, which makes them look less open. I was wondering if you lose fat here aswell during weight loss. Seeing as it's fat.

I'm a healthy BMI, but plan to lose 10lbs.

Hate to burst your bubble, but it's probably not fat (or a significant amount, anyway), it's just skin.

My mother's friend had the same problem and eventually had surgery.  Not that you need surgery, I'm just pointing out that it's most likely not due to excess fat on your face.

Thanks for your reply, but that's dissappointing :(.

Surgery wouldn't be the sort of thing you could hide lol.

I dont know how old you are but I have that too and Im 35. I had it at 205 lbs, I lost my weight and still had it. Im pretty sure it is just a natural aging of our skin. There are some creams that will tighten it & help it a little. You could see your dermatologist. Sorry I couldn't be more help but I hate it too. Its just me and I cant change it. Of course you could do surgery too, they can fix just about anything if you have the money.

My dad had that but below his eyes and he had to get surgery to remove the excess fat ( and he is a VERY fit man) so its not just an overweight thing.

Thank you everyone. It's disappointing that they won't go away through weight loss. I'll just have to get used to it. I don't know if I would want to have to have it removed as people tell me they don't even notice it and would think I'm vain lol.

I do see a lot of people get it removed if it starts obstructing thier eye sight. They do well and the scar is minimal and hiden in the crease of the eye lid. However, if its not that bad there is no sense in wasting time and money. Im sure your beautiful with or without it.
