23 Female, 5'2 ... how many calories do you eat a day?

Hi!  I am a 23 year old woman, and I am 5'2.  Right now I am 147 lbs and my goal weight is 130-135.  I looked at the calorie counter and the numbers do make sense to me.  However, I was just curious as to what the other ladies around my age/height take in to maintain their current weight or weightloss.  What works for you?  I would say I am about average as far as muscle mass goes.  But yeah, I am just curious what you ladies do, because it is always nice hearing personal stories rather than just plugging numbers into a computer.  Thanks for any imput you all may have!

Hola - I'm also 5'2" -- I'm around 135/136 right now (started this time around at about where you are at 147) - I eat 1225/day and this gives me a deficit of 500/day

I've also just added yoga about 3 to 4 times a week but I can't say anything about how that will affect things just yet

Hello! I am Female, 24, and 5'2" I started at 165 and I'm now at 136 hoping to get down to 115-120. I started eating 1300 and as I lost weight/increased my exercise I am now up to 1700-1800 a day. I do P90X which is a pretty intense workout, 6 days a week for 1-1.5 hours a day. So it really depends on how much exercise you do.

hi! i'm 24 and 5'2". i started at ~170, am currently 159, and am hoping to get down to ~140-145 (i have a pretty high muscle mass, so anything lower would be too low in my opinion). i try to eat a net of ~1400 cals. so on non-exercise days, i'll typically stay between 1200-1500, and on exercise days, i'll up it to ~1800 or so.

what numbers did cc give you?

I'm 5'3" (so pretty close), and I currently weigh 128lbs.  I started counting calories 3 months ago, and I weighed 146 pounds.  I currently eat between 1500-1800 calories a day (depends on how far I've run in a given day).  I try to maintain a deficit of 500 (with exercise, I burn between 2000-2300 calories a day), which has given me a consistent loss.   No plateau longer than a week at this point, knock on wood!  I found that the numbers that CC gives out are insanely low if you exercise; I didn't even make it a day on the 1300 calories CC suggested for me, ha ha.
