FEMALES ONLY!!Weight loss in a short amount of time?

Quote  |  Reply

I was wondering if any women had any success stories of thier weight loss. Ive got alot of feedback about losing alot of weight however majority of them were from men. Since men and womens bodies work diffrently i would like to hear some stories from a WOMANS point of view. What did you do to achieve your goal? how long did it take?

Thanks

I workout 6 times a wk sometimes more, eat all natural foods (no pre packaged etc), and vary my calories from 1500-2000 depending on my workouts. I've lost 48 since jan 2. The rate I lose is a little higher then I'd recommend but I started at well over 200lbs. I also have a nutritionist, personal trainer and check in with my Dr. It's all about finding something you can maintain. For me working out is easy, I love it. But food is the most important part hence the nutritionist. I needed guidance on relearning how and what to eat. My best advice is don't undereat and don't over train. Listen to your body if I am tired I take a day off. I still eat out and have treats. I read every book I can find on nutrition and exercise and try to make informed decisions based on what I have learned.
That's really great! Keep it up! Whats your goal?
140-150. Not sure tho I'm 5'7" so I'll have to evaluate as I get closer. All I know is it can be done! :)
Thanks a bunch for sharing

I am down 15# in 10 weeks...but I expect to only lose 1# or less a week now I am a healthy weight...(160 down to 145 now)

I went to primal/paleo eating and it was easier for me to lose on this eating plan...plus I walk/jog 5x a week..

I'm 22, 5'10 and on August 25, 2011 I weighed 225 lbs. I had gained 35 lbs. during my first 2 years of college as a result of really taking advantage of the all you can eat dining hall. Luckily I got an apartment this year (only a 5 minute walk from the gym!), so I had the ball in my own hands. I started calorie counting from the beginning, eat between 1400-1600 calories a day. I did this with healthy foods, but I allowed myself to live a little. I knew if I wanted this to be a lifestyle, not a diet, then I would need some indulgences. In addition I exercise 3-5 times a week (school work permitting). I do weights, core and cardio.

I most recently weighed in at 180 lbs. and I plan on wearing a bikini for the first time since my freshman year of high school this summer!

I started Februrary 6th at 220 lbs. I am 5'5 and 26 yrs old. I am down to 185 and my goal is 170 (with some matienence and then set a new goal in a few months)

I work out 4 - 5 times a week mostly bike at the gym, some elliptical.

P90x plyometrics, pilates and weight training occasionally (1 or 2 of these twice a week if I can fit it in)

I eat between 1200 and 1800 calories depending on my workout on the day, trying to maintain a -1000 calorie deficit, sometimes have - 800 or - 1200. The first 30 lbs felt like it FLEW off, now I am struggling with a plateau. I haven't lost and lbs in 20 days, although I am becoming to small for my clothes and a feel thinner.
