Fiber Supplements... Good or Bad?

Is it healthy to take a fiber supplement on a daily basis? I'm having a hard time getting my "recommended amount"

One of my best and easiest ways to get fiber is to start my day with a toasted Orowheat Double Fiber english muffin--each one of those has 8 grams of fiber for only 110 calories.  Sometimes I eat two.  ;)  My afternoon snack is a serving and a half of Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal.  Since a serving has 8 grams, I am getting 12 with my 1 1/2 servings bowl.  That's 20 grams right there!  Easy peasy.  ;)  I love all things fiber and whole grain though, so it's pretty easy for me.  I've tried those chewable fiber things though--the orange ones are pretty good.
