food weight (raw v. cooked) how do you measure?
As far as veggies I weigh them on kitchen scale raw and use that for my cc. But as far as meat(s), I also weigh fish raw. Some thing I have to weigh cooked like a pork roast because I'm not eating the whole thing, so I weigh the cooked portion.
Tonight I'm making steak on the grill. So would you weigh this before or after for cc purposed. I realize the cc guide shows both for many ingredients...
Just curious how others do this.
I weigh my foods raw... um, unless I forget, in which case I weigh them after I cook them.
I'm sure that doesn't help.
What you're doing is right. If you're cooking food from raw, look up the calorie-count for the raw weight. If you're eating something ready-cooked... like the pork roast, enter the calorie-count for cooked.
If you're putting a steak on the grill, weigh it raw and log that.
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
