Hi!!

I just noticed that the other groups are closed for new members.. and I'd really like to be in a support group, as I tend to lose interest once I get about halfway to my goal. So, who wants to join me?


If you want to join in:

1. Goal date of June 21st. How much you'd like to lose it up to you, as we're all different!

2. Weigh ins on Wednesday.

3. If you're just in it to get fitter, tell us how much stronger you are this week or about breakthroughs (example: This week I can do a real pushup! etc.) :)

4. Feel free to chat on here & support each other!


I would like a combo of both, as my clothes are too tight, and I'm rather ashamed of how weak I am in the arms! I would like to get much stronger, so that I can try out surfing this Summer, without drowning. :)

This week was not so good for me, I had BBQ twice, & it shows :( I got so annoyed today that I made myself do cardio and calisthenics!!

I think I have to start doing cardio 3x a week (& check in here) because walking and calisthenics alone doesn't seem to be doing very much for my weight loss. I've got to sweat a bit!

Re: fitness: I do feel like I am getting stronger, I haven't yet had muscle pain the next day from the renovations we've been doing, so that's really awesome. Shows me that I'm not completely muscle-less!

I am finally committing myself to this again. The last few weeks have been filled with final exams and spring break so its been really hard but now there is nothing to get in my way except my own laziness, which I will fight haha.

Not a big shocker considering I lost 6 pounds in two weeks before this weigh in.  Getting tougher to stick to a healthy eating pattern...been craving junk food...trying to be good...I think I'll go for a walk today it is starting to look like spring!

Another loss! Just two more pounds and I am at a healthy BMI! I will be so happy then :) Hopefully I'll be in the 150s next week. Last time I was in the 150s was 6 years ago!

I'm posting my weight from yesterday morning...which is less than it was today.  That's what I get for a big dinner and too much snacking yesterday.  Gonna try to get back on track today.  Would really like to be under 150 very, very soon and I just can't seem to get there!

Just started Jillian Michael's 30 day shred again yesterday. I have completed this twice before and it has really worked for me, so am giving it a third try. Also have been walking more, which is really key for me to lose weight.

Since I posted on Wed: On Thursday, I went for a long walk, and today a longer walk and a bunch of interval sprints/runs. The sprinting was so much fun, will definitely do it again.  Just wanted to check in to keep myself accountable, because I've been getting so slack lately.

Hi guys!

I've been doing really well since wednesday. I haven't gotten to the gym but I've been walking a good amount and I've been eating really well. I've been sticking to  around 1200 a day and between that and my period ending I've dropped down to 141.6  in the past few days! I'm just hoping I can keep this up and have a great number for next week's weigh in.

I'm nervous for this weekend though because my roommates want to make dinner tonight and the potential plan is (vegetarian) jambalaya and cornbread. I'm worried I'll pig out on this dinner-I love cornbread and although I've never had jambalaya from looking at the recipe I can tell it will be something I could easily consume waaaay too much of.

What are some of your guys strategies for getting through the weekends?

@jackie - things i plan/need to do on most weekend. always keep a lot of baby carrots to snack on and try really hard to drink more water.

if you're doing a vegetarian jambalaya you should be able to eat a fair amount and still be pretty good on calories. what makes a good (in my opinion) jambalaya calorie heavy is the sausage. good luck and enjoy!

The battery in my scale is dead! This is traumatizing to an every-day-weigher! And it's a strange battery that I don't have on hand and won't able to buy until wed or thur... darn =( Well, off to the casino we go (free room, free dinner, why not?). Let's hope this doesn't kill all the progress I've been making!

may be the best time for your scale to be unavailable. now you'll have a few days to purge yourself of any sodium related water retention and not get stressed by the scale number.

I weighed myself today (tues), but my weight went up! I'm hoping it is just water retention from all this exercise, my legs and abs hurt for like 3 days after the sprints!! I fit in a 3 mile walk on Sunday, but couldn't do any sprints because my feet were blistered from the first time & a small walk today. Hopefully the number on the scales will go down tomorrow, but it doesn't matter if they don't. I feel so much better about myself already.
