Goals for August!! Bring it on!!
So I see someone starts a monthly goal list every month so I thought I would try this.
Today is July 31st. We all set goals at the begining of the month and again we wonder what is everyone's goals to accomplish this time. Have you reached your goal weight yet? Is their obstacles in the way. What do you plan on achieveing this month? What things would you like to change from what you did last month and what are you going to do differently? Will you drink more water, consume more proteins?
I have been stuck on reaching my goal weight of 130 for the past 3-4 weeks now and it's a bit upsetting. I am currently 134 so this month will be lots of focusing. This month is going to be different! I have listed some of my main goals this month What are yours? How can we help everyone out to accomplish these goals! Maybe some of us will read others and be motivated to follow some rules. I hope everyone has great month and please keep checking in.

EDIT: I know a lot of us would like to tone our abs some more so I posted this a while back. It's a really great abo workout which only takes about 15 minutes so just posting it here so some of us can add it on to our goals.

August 1st - August 31st goals:
- Lose 1 pound per week for the next four weeks.
- Cosume 250 less calories from my plan and burn 250 more calories.
- Do 3 sets of 15 of sit ups and crunches 3 times a day.
- Drink at least 4 litres of water daily.
- Weigh once a week.
- Perform more toning workouts.
- Try to run 2 miles staright by the end of August.
- Do not go crazy on weekends.

uhhh hibachi... I have different tricks for that. Sometimes I just dont care and eat whatever I want (bad trick obviously), other times I just skip the rice and eat the veggies and shrimp or scallops, which are very nutritious and not that high in calories.
When it comes to drinking, there are drinks that have tons of calories, like margaritas and daiquiris and stuff like that. If you want to be conscious even when drinking get something with diet coke or any other diet soda. Or you can just have straight shots *cof*cof* that way you skip the other calories and you celebrate your 21 with a buzz rather quickly haha

Goals for August:
DJ
- continue to log my food while I'm on holidays (I'll be at my parent's house for 5 days - can you say comfort food??? Let the sabotaging begin!)
- try to stay between a 500-1000 deficit
- treadmill 6X per week using my new walking workout program that I just found
- strength training 3X per week
- try to increase my fiber intake with good food rather than with fiber supplements
- lose 4 lbs (179 to 175)

This is sort of an August goal! lol I just want to keep doing what I'm doing... not fall off of the bandwagon with dieting and get to 115 pounds by August 28th... (thats only 5 pounds away from my goal!)
First Day here. Glad to see everyone putting up goals for August. I feel like a blob. I want to feel like a girl again. Full time nursing student with a hubby and daughter. Finishing summer classes and getting ready for fall I am feeling overwhelmed. I need some kind of goals and focus. So here goes.
1. Start this site and track my calorie intake try to eat healthy and cut 500 calories a day.
2.Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
3. Walk at least 1 mile everyday.
4. Add crunches 15 a day.

- Workout 4-5 days per week
- Lose 5 lbs
- Drink atleast 80 oz of water per day
- Stay on track on the weekends (this is the hardest one for me)
- Be able to run 4 miles continuously by the end of the month (I am currently at 3 miles at 6 mph)

2.) Use a bathroom on another floor at least twice a day every day I'm at work. (That's 44 stairs a day, 220 stairs a week.)
3.) Do at least 40 wall pushups every day I'm at work.
4.) Look into trial membership at Curves.
5.) Continue drinking 20 oz of water between coffee and lunch and walking twice a week to/from subway, weather permitting; I will probably NOT do that this week, given the temperatures!

Goals for August*
- Weight goal by the end of August: 230
- Ride the stationary bike at least 3 days/week, thus increasing my exercise (a goal from July that I didn't do well)
- Continue Monday Night Yoga
- Keep my calories between 1400 and 1500 (recommended for 1-2lb weightloss/week)
- Maintain weight through Vacation (also known as avoiding the chocolate milk made with cream)
- Keep Hydrated... even on weekends, especially on Vacation.

Just hit my 40th b-day and I'm TRYING to get back on track. My goals for Aug
- Lose 5 pounds (total goal is to lose 24 pounds)
- Martial Arts - 2-3 times per week
- Hit the gym 2-3 times per week (new membership with my husband and 3 boys!! LOTS of support there!!)

2. If one fails because of the whole move/relocate/lonely thing, atleast maintain.

2. Only eat fast food twice a week and other than that stay away
3. When I go home to visit make sure Iâ??m not hungry
4. Go to the rec center 10 times this month. Work out at least 30 minutes each time Iâ??m there
5. Drink 3 quarts of water a day
6. Keep a deficit, minimum of 500
7. Do 30 crunches, 30 wall pushups, 10 jumping jacks every day.
8. By the morning of August 31st, weigh 311

- get 25g+ of fiber every day.
- try to keep fat % close to 20% every day (it was lower).
- eat 1300-1500 calories every day.
- keep sodium under 2200mg a day.
- do 100 wall push ups 5 days a week.
- eat the healthiest I can while working Orientation Week.
- do abs work 3-4 days a week.
- walk, as weather permits, 3+ times a week.
- take stairs instead of elevator at work.
- have one splurge meal for the month.
