Good day, bad day, good day, bad day

Quote  |  Reply

At the moment it seems like I have 2/3 really good days and I crumble and overeat for a day or two. It's really getting me down because I see the scale go down then seem to self sabotage.

Any advice on breaking this cycle?

Are you eating enough for your weight and activity level? If you aren't you are more likely to have overeating episodes.

I think I am slightly under-eating on "good" days, only by 100 cals or so, thanks for the point Liseey02.

I think it is also just about putting too much pressure on myself, I find I repeatedly self-sabotaged in life when I feel pressure to do/be/achieve certain things :(

I don't think 100 calories would make a huge difference.

Set reasonable goals. This doesn't happen overnight.

I read somewhere that if you stick to the same daily calorie in take your body gets use to it and will adjust your metabolism so having a 'blow out' now and again actually stops that happening. Not sure if its true but it sounds good!!

I guess if you can stick to the diet for 6 days and only break out for one day a week it can't be that bad surely, or are your scales saying differently
