Green Tea Pills???

Quote  |  Reply
Hey everyone, I have a quick question! My cousin just had a baby about 6 months ago. She got really skinny and is now smaller than she was before she had the baby, I asked her what she was doing and she said that she wasn't doing much but she was taking Green Tea Pills....she said that they give her more energy and thay they are helping her lose weight! So I looked into them on the internet and did a little bit of research, I seem to think that they could be good for you, and help you lose weight, and also give you energy. If anyone could tell me what you think or what you have heard I would appricate it!

I think the key here is...she just had a baby.  There are two components to that...1) Is she breastfeeding?  For some women breastfeeding makes them lose weight like crazy.  2)  Having a baby changes your body.  I know I was much smaller after having my first even though I had gained 50lbs when pregnant with him (I lost all that weight by 8 weeks post partum) my hips were smaller I fit into clothes I never did before at a smaller weight even.
I am taking green tea pills.  I have only been taking them for a week so I haven't noticed any huge changes.  There are days where I feel like I have more energy, i always get tired around 3 but thats because i have a desk job and am ready to go home by then.  Maybe the biggest thing is not being hungry or not feeling the urge to eat.  I am sure it takes more than a week to really start to notice changes.  I dont know if Rite Aid still has the deal going on or if you even have a Rite Aid in your area but they were having a buy one get one free deal. Good luck.
I take green tea pills, and they seem to help me more with energy.  I wouldn't say that I see them as making a huge difference in my weight loss.  I've been taking them for about 4 months now, I think, and I'm sure that all the other stuff I'm doing actually contributes to my fat loss than the pills.

I used to take them and stopped taking them due to the fact that they didn't seem to make a difference even after months.

OKay...thanks everyone for the great feedback! I guess I am going to try them for the energy, because with college classes and work, I do feel run down a lot.  If it helps with the weight loss that's a plus to but I'm not going to just rely on them. Thanks everyone!
I usually drink 2 to 3 cups of green tea a day :D. do the pills have any bad side effects?
green tea is a stimulant just like coffee.  they both help you burn fat.  fat burners help you burn fat because they raise your body temperature.  just keep in mind they might help you but your body will get used to it, and fat burners no matter what kind only help you lose 50-100 extra calories a day. it's almost not worth it.  but it can help you just a little. just don't over do it.  and as for drinking the tea you need way more green tea extract to help you burn fat than a few cups of tea it's all about the amount.  also another thing you could try is drinking apple cider vinegar. it helps you absorb less fats in your gut, and flushes out a lot of impurities.  though don't take the pill you gotta drink the actual stuff, organic preferably.  2tbsp per glass of water add honey to taste.  and the side affects i had from green tea was it made me sick after a while if i took it on a somewhat empty stomach.
Just be careful with any pill or supplement. Make sure you know all the negative side effects before swallowing! :)

My friend drinks this green tea mix stuff. She said it helps, really I don't know. I say anything that motivates and is safe is OK.
I take green tea pills and dont feel all that different. But if you take them on an empty stomach you will feel one thing: SICK TO YOUR STOMACH! You will feel light-headed and as if you are going to throw up! So if you do decide to take em....eat when u do!
There's no way green tea pills alone are going to help anybody drop weight and even with diet and exercise, it's only going to be insignificant. In my opinion, that stuff is for people that have like five pounds to lose. I drink tons of green tea because I like it and it's good for you. If it has some sort of thermogenic effect, all the better! Oolong tea is supposed to do the same. Also, there's Chromium Piccolinate, which I feel works but it may be purely psychological. It's works on blood sugar and controls appetite.

P.S. If you're looking for green tea to give you energy, forget it. Go for a huge cup of coffee. Same difference and the coffee will work better. Don't pay for those stupid pills. They're marked way up -- they prey on the dieters. Let's not contribute to the manufacturer's wealth!!!

I sometimes take green pills for energy.  I don't expect them to help directly with weight loss, but I definitely feel the energy boost.  But I can't say if it's the green tea or the caffeine that comes with it.  I also don't take them every day, and I have no other sources of caffeine usually (except for the small amount in the chocolate I sometimes have).

I would not recommend them as a diet pill, but I would for a quick energy boost, especially when you are feeling lethargic.  If you're already feeling energetic, don't take one.

I too have read lots about the green tea pill and weight loss, most of it was positive and importantly it appears much safer than many alternatives especially prescription pills. Also attractive to me was the fact that the green tea pill is totally natural, after all my research I found an especially pure and potent form of green tea pill from java. The are is well known for producing high quality tea and green tea. The java green tea pills has helped me steadily lose sensible healthy weight, I have more energy and can use this to help me every day - green tea pill  seems to be working well for me - it is not a miracle pill but then what is ?

Funny!  I notice this from drinking green tea too.  I never get hangovers, am never ill or nausueous, but strangely, if I drink green tea on an empty stomach, regardless of the time of day, I feel wretched.  I've even sometimes been sick as a result.

Does anyone know how concentrated the GT pills are?  I already drink about a litre of GT every day, cos I'm always cold and always have a mug of something warm to hand, so I probably wont take the pills on top of all that.  Am just wondering.

Good luck all.

Did you really go through all the trouble of creating an account just to bump a thread that has been dead for almost 2 years so you could promote some overhyped weight loss gimick?
