What happens to large boobs when you lose weight?

Quote  |  Reply
I am a 17 year old girl, 5"1 and 125 pounds. I am a bit chubby but mostly that weight is my boobs. I am an e cup and want to lose about 15 or 20 pounds to hopefully reduce that. Has anyone done this? Did your boobs get all gross and saggy? Did it work? How did you do this? Sorry if it is a bit TMI to ask this. thanks for any answers

I had size c or d and now I lost 45 pounds I'm a b if im lucky!:p hope that helps!:p

It depends.  I lost 40lbs and my boobs are a similar size.

It depends on you personally. I've lost weight from my boobs with my 30lbs weight loss but I know other people who didn't lose any weight. Luck of the draw I'm afraid!

It's the first place I lose or gain.  I maintain at a range of 145-150, and my bras fit differently at either ends of that spectrum.

I should say another thing to look into is balancing your Omega 3s and 6s.  I'm sure I sound like a nut but just google it and you'll understand. Work on lowering your 0-6 intake (an upping 0-3 if necessary).  It really reduces inflammation and (for me) it prevents the big, heavy breasts I get for a week PLUS before my period.  I'm convinced.

Some doctors think this imbalance is largely responsible for many people's weight problems.  Either way, an imbalance is bad for you and makes you puffy and inflamed.

Its diffrent for everyone. I lost 15 lbs and about two cup sizes (annoyingly from dd/e - d), just hoping they stay the same with the last 20lbs.

To avoid 'gross and saggy' as you put it make sure you wear a well fitting sports bra and get remeasured as you lose weight. Mosturising helps with the genaral aparence of your skin as well as drinking plenty of water.

It can happen that as you lose weight your cup size can go up!

Don't focus on losing weight.  Focus on gaining muscle.  Your boobs will look better no matter how big they are if you've got some meat under there to support them.

it depends on if the breast is tissue or fat. over the summer, bc of environment, ai lost about 20 lbs, and my bra was barely looser. i gained it back and my boobs are abt the same size.

I went from a bulging 36D to non bulging (one style of bra I have I can fit into a 34D bra (with a little bulge) and the 36D is too big, but another 36D fits ok, needless to say I have just started wearing a medium size sports bra till I am done losing) after losing roughly 40lbs, I have about 20lbs left and I hope I get to a C and if I don't I will be lifting some weights/strength training and do the best I can, fitness wise.

Really depends on the make-up of your body. I have lost 85 pounds and mine are down less than a full cup size (DD to a D, but really still have to wear DD to be comfortable). I did however go from a 42 to a 36 for bra band size.

Tell my about it.  With my measurements when I started losing weight, I was technically a 40A.  Today, I'm technically a 36C.  This changes based on the bras I buy, because every bra is different, but that is what the formulas yield for me.  Thanks body for not being too keen on actually gaining weight in the boobs.

ETA: And, I've lost 46 pounds so far.

Actually your breasts stayed the same but you lost mass around your body. Therefore you need a smaller band because you're smaller around but a larger cup to make up for the smaller band.  40 A is the same as a 38 B, 38 B is the same as 36 C.
