Idiot-Proof Diet / FatLoss4Idiots
OK.. the diet isn't exactly the most balanced diet out there imo, but I was just wondering... how is it even possible to lose six pounds in six days?? ?_? The meals were just too weird for me, and they don't work around my schedule anymore as I have another person to feed. Did anyone else ever try this and experience those weird results? Also, does there seem to be anything terribly dangerous about this diet, other than the really weird meals? Thanks.

I dont appreciate being called a troll i didnt know people were so rude onthis thing? My facination withthis thing is that i am serious about loosing weight. I am sry i dont stoop down to your levels with insulting people who are trying to help themselves. You should be ashamed of yourself! Maybe you just dont know what it feels like to be overweight? well good for you then, but dont mock me for trying to do something good for myself!

If you are serious about losing weight, forget about fad diets, anything called "The (fill in the blank) diet" is most likely a load of bull. Work on making better food choices and starting a good exercise program.
I responded "troll" because
a) you clearly didn't read tech dog's post, because it said that it was a bad, unsupported diet that should be called "weight loss BY idiots"
b) when I looked last night at your posts, you had responded to 4 or 5 different threads, asking for info on this diet - typical activity for a spammer who just wants to "intrigue" people by repeatedly bringing up the name of the diet. it seems like the moderators caught on, and they have been since removed.
c) when you started your own thread about this subject, you were told that it wasn't a good idea. you replied:
"No seriously he told me to do that he said it worked. Now from all the info i read i have no idea why hed tell me that. He sounds like the idiot. But thoes were the word o ut of his mouth Gods honost truth. Thanx for all the replies!"
and yet today, you are back, still asking about it again. And again. That is trolling.
So even if you weren't trying to advertise, it still isn't a good way to introduce yourself to the forums.

As others here clearly pointed out, I don't use this diet, never did and wouldn't waste my money on it because the website they run has illogical claims on it that anyone with a brain could see are just plain stupid.
The healthy eating plan that has been successful for me is one that I made up myself after many weeks of reading about nutrition, weight loss, and physiology and after talking with my doctor. It is described in my journal for anyone who is interested, but it is basically one of eating a healthy balance of protein, carbs, and good fats combined with exercise. My plan is just structured as it is because that is what works for me.
And my plan could hardly be called idiot proof. It requires a lot of thought, imagination, and discipline. Idiots need not apply.
would it be alright if i asked what the menu was? please! im just so interested in the "shift" of calories or whatever.
please let me know, i desperatly need to lose weight for an even in 6 weeks.
I started the fatloss4idots diet two days ago. I have read the three pages of commentary here, and some of it is very negative and angry. Why do people feel the need to call others names?
The trouble with Nutrisystem, Jenny Craig, Optifast, Medifast and a host of others, is that you are relying on someone else to touch you with the magic wand of weight loss. After a while, the shakes and the pre-made meals get old. Pritikin and Atkins give you recipes, but I think they are for the most part somewhat tasteless and I could never stay on it... I like the taste of food.
BUT for eleven days? I can do this. When you join, you are given a list of food choices (foods YOU like) the meal generator makes up a daily menu for eleven days. You can generate a new menu any time you like, as many times as you like for variety. For the most part, you are eating whole foods rather than processed foods.
Yes, it can be hard, when you're eating a bowl of fruit, and you're watching a pizza commercial on TV. I remember being at one of those "support sessions" at Jenny Craig and I was not scheduled for a snack. There was a woman in that session chowing down on an apple and slurping on a water bottle. Not only was she loud, it made me hungry! It's hard to be told not to eat while somebody eats.
There's more to this than just overeating. Each person has reasons why they are overweight. Personally, I think self-esteem issues can be the most damaging. I'm not going to go into MY reasons for doing this, but I will support you and keep you posted on my success. My first advise is to find a friend to do this with. As I said, I started this diet two days ago. I'm 52 and 220 pounds Ugh! I have no excuses. To me, the principles are sound. I do not fall for media hype. I can stay on course for eleven days... I'm not going to die from this.
The first day was easy because I was excited. I ended up eating too much at meal 4 and was extremely uncomfortable. Lesson learned: they tell you to eat until just BEFORE you feel full.
DAY TWO: An all fruit and one sandwich day. I ate a bowl of fruit and went outside and mowed the lawns for almost three hours. By then, I was famished. I was going to eat fruit for my second meal, but opted for the sandwich instead. It was filling and I was a happy camper. I ate meal 3 and was okay, meal 4 was tough because I was fixing dinner for my hubby. Keeping my hands off and not taking a nibble of his food was tough, but I did it. I was hungry when I went to bed. What sustained me was the thought of oatmeal in the morning. In retrospect, it was a tough day, considering I'm used to grabbing some very unhealthy stuff to snack on. I thought of ice cream several times during the day.
DAY THREE: Ah! I survived. I weighed myself (just for yucks) and was stunned to find that I had lost three pounds. After 3 hours of mowing and fruit all day, I am not fooled into thinking it is anything but water. BUT.... The pudge in my face was lessened. AWESOME! I am not stupid enough to think the next 10-20 pounds will not be water, but when your body gets used to expelling water rather than holding it, it's still 10-20 pounds! I will give you more info as this diet progresses. I say, spend the 40-something for the diet. It puts YOU in control, not a system where someone else is in control. Yeah, they'll be a plateau, but I have a pair of size 9 Jordache jeans beckoning me. They are 30 years old and have never been worn. Perhaps I can sell them on eBay and make more than I paid for them... Naaah! I want to wear them! Anyway, go for it. I'll keep posting my journey.

You can select multiple foods from 2 columns. It then creates meals depending on what you chose. Mine has no greens or seafoods, btw.
It slowly changes from high carb, low protein to low carb, high proteinover the 11 days. No sugar, sweets, pasta, bread, etc. It's been estimated the diet revolves around the 1800 calorie mark. No exercise is necessary if you follow the pre-printed menu like the one linked above.
Definitely reasonable, but the food combinations can be weird at times.

THIS is a troll, ladies and gentlemen. Or rather, a sock puppet. Created once, to post once, and support a position that he's probably already posted under another name. Probably selling the diet himself (or herself, but spammers and scammers tend to be male).
If in doubt, check the profile. If it's someone with no picture you've never heard of and who only posted once or twice on the same topic (and hasn't even logged in since posting, AND the account was obviously created at the same time and date, just to post misinformation and fake testimonials)... it's a sock puppet.
Whisk the puppet off the hand and it's a big middle finger in the face of the truth and in the face of everyone on this site. Ethics, community, even the truth mean little to the scammers who run 'Fat loss 4 idiots' and every other fad diet out there.
And WTF is an ad for this diet doing on CC? It's still there, telling everyone lies like 'calorie counting doesn't work, buy my diet'.

Didn't work, did it?... sorry to hear it, but I hope they didn't get any of your money. Try calorie counting and exercising, and if you can stick to it, it works long-term.
I bought the book. I couldn't tolerate the diet as it made me ill. So then a year ago I tried yayfood, I didn't like the fact that *after* I paid the membership fee to sign up to get into the forum and read material, I find out it was everything I had already read before about calorie shifting. There wasn't anything new or ground breaking about it. There were hundreds of people signed up on the site but no one hardly posting. Oh and I never saw my money back when I cancelled the next week. I do tire of getting ripped off by people. This is why I refuse to every buy a membership again for anything. CC is free and I'm seeing results.

I bought the diet about 2 or 3 years ago. I always have a hard time staying on it, but I use it when I've hit a plateau and it gets me going again. I'm actually on day 1 right now. I expect to lose at least 4 lbs in the 11 days which I won't complain about. I lost 40 lbs after having my son and the diet helped me lose about 20, but I was going to the gym 5 days a week and I know that helped. I think it's a good diet and I recommend it. Don't expect to lose absurd amounts of weight after the first 11 days. But you do lose quite a bit and I think there's definitely something to this "calorie shifting" theory. I've never hit a plateau on this diet, which I think is awesome. I dread tomorrow, my fruit day. Fruit never fills me up, and tomorrow is the 4th of july and I'm going to a BBQ, it will be hard sticking to my fruit and watching everyone else have hot dogs but I'm one commited woman! :)
