This really stood out to me and touched me so I thought I'd share it all with you.
There was a girl my age who had been chubby throughout highschool. Senior year I saw her and I was shocked. She was SO much thinner, and it wasn't a stick thin either. It was a healthy, gorgeous look. She looked incredible.
I asked my best friend about this girls weight loss. My best friend said that she was close with the girl, and she asked her about it.
"How did you lose all of this weight?"
"I found happiness."
This simple statement empowered me. If you find happiness, losing the weight is so much easier. Don't rely on the taste of something to make your mood boost. I have recently been struggling my demons and doing things to make me happier, and it has done wonders for me. So although the statement is simple, the key to weight loss is happiness!
Hope this helped anybody.
Well, I kind of agree. I think the opposite happened with me. I FOUND Happiness when I lost 30 LBS. I was pretty un-happy when I was overweight. Whatever works, I guess, everyone has a different approach.
buddyandme - the point is you NEED to find happiness. stop feeling sorry for yourself and make changes in your life that will make you happier. no matter how small....if you feel an ounce of happiness it will outweigh a ton of sadness.
i have a lot going on in my life....i know like everyone, but truly i get her point...just going outside and getting some sun and appreciateing nature can help some times.
just try, today....find something that puts a smile on your face....you will feel even if it is just a little better...which in turn will help aid in the not looking at food for comfort for how sad and unhappy you are.
honestly, i know it is tough but YOU are the only person that can make a change in your life.
thats an amazing story.
