That last 10 pounds!
I'm SOOOO close! But then again I have been for about a year. To date, I am 9 lbs from my goal weight.
Who's with me on the home stretch???

PLEASE COME JOIN IN SO WE CAN SUPPORT EACH OTHER ON THE HOME STRETCH!
I've been 2 pounds away from my original goal for weeks now. Can't seem to make it there and have since changed my goal, so now 12 pounds away.
40 female
start 2-25 at 194
current 137, past few weeks
goal was 135, now 125.
Why is the home stretch so hard????
Im right there with you. I have been there for a year or more. My schedule has changed and its harder for me to eat right and exercise daily. I just keep telling myself only 9 more pounds, that gets me through, keeps me from eating more and motivates me to exercise. I am hoping to take that 9 pounds off before the new year.

Start Weight 170 (june 06)
Current weight 124.5 (Oct 1)

HELP ME!
i binge a lot... when i say a lot.. i mean a lot.
I have 7 pounds to go! I hit my goal weight of 125 last Feb and I even went down to 120. Now I am back up to 132 and I am trying to get back to 125 - that was a great weight for me. This has been so hard! We travel alot for my sons baseball tournaments and it seems like we are always eating and drinking! I feel like all I do is play catch up during the week so that I can "undo" all the bad stuff I did over the weekend. I never make any progress - AAHHHH!!!
I've been good but haven't lost any weight since June/July 08 and want to lose the last 5-10lbs.
Age: 34
Height: 5'11"
SW 180 (April 08)
CW 157 (most days...very bouncy)
GW 147-153
It is very hard to stay motivated being this close and not seeing any movement on that darn scale. I would love to join a group going through a similar trial. Then when we reach our goals, maybe we can all support each other through maintenance?

I am with you, I hit my goal weight and below- 115 at 5'4" and maintained it for over a year no problem. Now with a move and travel I gained 5pounds- all on my hips and I cant seem to shake it
I have lost some of my motivation to stay within my calorie range- help
I am so in that place. Very very frustrating. I am:
Female
Age 37
5' 6"
132 lbs
Starting weight 187
Lowest weight 127
For the past 6 months I have fluctuated between 130 and 135. I really want to be 125, but I cannot manage to get there. If I am overly diligent on eating and exercise for a few weeks I can get down to 129-130, but 1 splurge day and I am back up to 133-135. UGH!! What to do?
I totally understand been trying to lose my last 10 pounds for some months. I think my problem is whenever I've been so busy with so many different events in my life this past summer so the intensity and frequency of my workouts was not as they should be. I do intend to take it off before the end of the year though. Because I am a taller woman, it seems that I am ok but I do want to go to 165 which will be ideal for me.
Start weight - (205 lbs Nov. 2006)
Present weight - (170 lbs)
Goal weight (165)
Height: 5ft 8.5"
I know how you feel. I'm 6 lbs. away and am bouncing around 175. I just don't get my exercise in every day. Otherwise, I'm diligent. Except that I find myself trying foods that I didn't eat while losing all the weight. I also find that some of them are detrimental to my goals. (Who'd have guessed?)
I guess you have to get super aggressive now instead of feeling satisfied with the success now that you're almost what you want and can now start behaving like everybody you run around with. Not so. I believe you have to remember that I must continue my lifestyle change in every way. Doing it is the test.
Wow...I thought I was alone. I have been ten pounds from goal for a year. I can be very proud that I have maintained my 46 pound weight loss for so long. However, I am still not finished. My goal is 120 and I got down to 129. The past few weeks a few pounds have been creeping back on. I weighed 134 this morning. I got rid of all of my fat clothes and now have a beautiful wardrobe. I am petrified that I will regain it all.
If we work together we will avert my crisis and we will all meet our goal. How do we go about this? A weekly weigh- in? I'm all for that. Where and when?

Ok I am totally with you all as well. I had a baby a year ago and vowed I would be at my prepregnancy weight when my daughter turned one. Well she turned one Sat Sept 27, 08 and I was 8 pounds away. I thought ok I am making progress. Well her birthday hit and so did a 2 pounds weight gain. I tried to be so good all day and was doing well until cleanup rolled around and then I snacked and snacked. I am so mad at myself. I was in my goal jeans, 8 pounds away and was starting to feel really good about myself. Now, I just feel fat.
My goal weight is 150 pounds. I am currently at 160 pounds and am 5' 6". I know I can do this I just have to keep the motivation. I lost 50 pounds before I got pregnant and was down to 150. When I was 8 weeks pregnant I was 155. I would even settle to be 155 again. CC says I should weigh 139, but that seems a little too small for me. Even when I was 150 I was in a size 6-8 and was told I was starting to look too small. Please help!!!!!! I desperately want to lose the last 8-10 pounds so I can feel good about myself again. I don't want my daughter to have a fat mommy!
My goal is to be 150 by Thanksgiving. My family is very critical of weight and I want them to say wow you look great. I ultimately want to do this for me, but the compliments don't hurt either!!!!
I'm in that boat! My daughter is 15 months old now and I'm still 11 lbs. from my starting weight. I joined a gym in April and have been exercising regularly. In the past month, I've been eating healthier foods, and trying to be conscience of portions, etc. but still the scale doesn't budge. Worse yet, my clothes are getting tighter instead of looser!
I want to try to get pregnant again soon, but I've read that if you don't lose the baby weight from the first one, it's there forever. So I'm really frustrated with these last 10 lbs.![]()
It is great to have found a group where so many people are dealing with the same thing. I also am frustrated with my lack of weight loss. I know the tools needed to succeed, but once I start I feel like I can't stay on the wagon and I fall off. I also belong to a gym, but I don't go because I work all day and my daughter is in daycare. I don't want to take her from one daycare to another. We do walk a few nights a week and I have a jogging stroller so I try to run, but sometimes exercise is just not in the cards. I am very hard on myself about my weight, but spending time with my daughter is much more important that an hour at the gym. That is why I take her on walks with me. I try to eat healthy, but I feel like I hit a plateau and I don't know how to budge. My clothes were getting looser till last sat. Now there is no er after loose, just a little loose.
Catherine86, have you met with a trainer to see what advice they can offer? I have one at the gym I go to and she was awesome, but then my work schedule changed and I couldn't meet up with her. I want to get back since it is already paid for:( Maybe they would have some good advice to get your weight loss started again!!!!!
Any suggestions for us anyone?!?!?!?!?!!?
Hi All!
Thank you guys so much for all of your responses! It's very good to know that I'm not alone in this. We should all be proud of ourselves for our progress, but how great will we feel when we accomplish our goal completely?!?
SO what should we do?
BTW, I've been using CC for several years now and it's helped me loose 28 lbs so far, but I've never used the community forums or met anyone. The reason I posted was because I would like to meet other people for mutual support to get over the last little hump! I'd also like to keep in touch for maintenance support, as I want to keep it consistent for at least 1 year! (of course a lifetime, but 1 year is a measurable goal.)
So I need a little help from you guys, does anyone know the community resources? Can we start a group for "the last 10 lbs?" How do we keep the support going?

Have you ever tried working with a goals partner? Someone you speak with once a week-you each set specific goals (i.e. getting to the gym x times this week, or making sure you cook a healthy dinner x# of nights ) and then you talk over how you did and set new goals for the next week. It's worked well for me-there's something about being accountable to someone else that's very motivating!
It does seem really hard to lose that last 12 lbs for me. Iwill probably up my exercise. I unfortunately love to drink Beer, but with the weather getting colder that will slow down. Good luck to you !!![]()
A Last 10 Pounds Group sounds like a great idea. I have never gone on a diet before this one. I didn't know what my end goal was when I started, only that I needed to loose weight after trying the pill. Now I really don't know how to "come off" dieting. I know I have made alot of healthier lifestyle changes, but I am unsure how to now balance the weight I want to stay at.
It is so motivating to read everyone's stories and advice.
Start weight 192 jan08
Current Weight 165
Goal (I am thinking now) 155
Female Age 23 Height 5'9
To make things a little harder, I just went through a break up last week, I stayed on my diet until yesterday, but then the chocolate came out lol...I am feeling like I need to get back on the bandwagon, reading here helps! Knowing that I probably blew a week is frustrating, but I am more worried about how metabloism reacts to those "accidents"
I'm so close to my goal (6 pounds to go) since 5 weeks now I think that I'm stuck!!! but I'm in the line so count whit me!!!!
Female 5'2 and I have 25 years
Start Weight: 175 April 2008
Current Weight: 121.3 Oct.2
Goal: 115 October 31 I HOPE!!!!
We can do it!!!! Just one more step!!!!! keep going! keep going1

If you want this to be "the last 10 lbs" weight loss challenge, then change the name to such and go for it but it does take some managerial work on your part for it to be a success. Check out other challenges in progress or past such as October Weight Loss Challenge and July 2008 Weight Loss Challenge for 2 different examples.
I have been trying to lose those last 10# all year long and keep wondering if I will ever do so but know it is possible as I was there a year ago!![]()

While I'd like to shoot for 128, I have to be realistic as to what my body is doing and may do over Thanksgiving holidays. ![]()

OMG so i was reading through this and I've literally never found anyone with my same stats or goal... but we're pretty damn identical... so lol I'm in. i'm 25. size 8ish ^_^ i'm 5'9 started at 180
Current weight : 165
Goal Weight: 155... maybe 150 if i'm pushin it by December 31st!
I feel sooo close to it but I've been trying for what feels like forever and the scale won't move! I'm about to make it move by throwing it out the window. >.<
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
