I love it! Thanks for posting it!

She's beautiful much more than most of these stick like models you see.

Congrats to her! She is a beautiful girl and I'm glad someone average sized is in that magazine :)

She radiates confidence and happiness and that is all you need to be beautiful I think, regardless the size ^___^

Yeah, she's 180 pounds, but shes also 5'11, i wouldnt consider that "the norm".

lol

She really is beautiful and looks very healthy...she's glowing! however, I think it's rude to make fun of a model's weight...regardless of whether she's too big or too small. Do you have contempt for "stick like" people you see in your everyday life? Some people are underweight and cannot help it.

I kind look like her but i dont think 180 is healthy or belly and big thights are beautyful, however this woman in particular is gorgeous

No doubt she is a very pretty lady. BUT--- to me, she does not look totally healthy with excess abdominal fat.  I think toned/fit women look their best. I don't know much about the model or her circumstances, I am going stricly on appearenes and my personal taste.

"She's beautiful"

Except for the panniculus, which never looks good on anyone. But full marks to her for posing like that.

She has a pretty face.  That pose is doing nothing for her though.

panniculus! - I did'nt even know it had a word. Learn something new every daySurprised

Wonderful! Thank you soooo much for the post!!

Freaking awesome. I once got so angry while reading an online news article about anorexia, because all of these adds were spread throughout the page either about weight loss or featuring a bone-thin model. Every since I've been hyper aware of how the media portrays the "average woman." Yes, the model's weight is spread out over her very tall body, but I mean this is just fantastic.

well I think she is stunning, "thicker" women so to speak are much more divine to look at.  here is Aphrodite from the 2nd century mythology

and Bathsheba from the bible.

we only think "fitter" women look better do to our programming.

I'm not programmed to think fitter women look better, Its easy to blame it on society. You can look at the picture and see she has no physical activity in her life.  Its all flab. Not my role model.

Our lifespan has significantly increased since the biblical times, so has our awareness on cholesterol levels, heart disease and other weight/health problems.

Still that said, good for her for being proud of her body, and I love her confidence.

risza, I think your post is really extreme and I find it weird that you don't even acknowledge the role of society on shaping our body preferences.

The extreme part is : 'You can look at the picture and see she has no physical activity in her life.  Its all flab.'

Really? Do you actually believe that? Does everyone who is physically active have 6-pack abs or a washboard? I can answer that for you - NO. Plenty of physically active women look like that model if they're lucky or flabbier/bigger. It's pretty degrading for someone to say something like what you said.

Also, if you educate yourself on why lifespans have increased since biblical times, you'll find that it has pretty much nothing to do with any of what you're talking about. In fact, the issues of cholesterol, heart disease etc come up BECAUSE our lifespans have increased enough for them to make the impact.

I think education and moderated comments would help tremendously when dealing with these kinds of issues.

Actually, she was on TV the other day, I think having an interview with Matt Lauer or something, and she's quite fit. Her arms and calves looked toned - too toned for someone who doesn't work out. Plus, she stated that she works out regularly, and I believe her, if only because she is a model. They make their living on their appearance.

She is quite gorgeous and given that she is so tall, I daresay she is pretty darned close to her healthy weight.  Looking at her I will be she is at a healthy BMI.

CC puts her at "mildly overweight."

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
