I'm in. My goal for 8 weks is 12 pounds. 1 1/2 pounds per week. IF I can mamge to get my body burning!! I lost my 1st 5 pounds and then the switch turned off. No more weight loss. I am still losing some inches, well 1/2 inches... but no weight.

Edit: My current weight is 190. I want to get to 178 in the 8 weeks, and then continue from there.
well, yesterday was a football game day, so I did over indulge. I had tacos, lots of chocolates, and  pasta (it was wheat). I pigged out the whole day.

But to make up for it, I did 1 hour and 10 minutes on the stationary bike, so it made up for it. a little over 750 calories burned. I was so nervous about the game that I wanted to keep eating, so instead I took out my anxieties with the bike. I didn't even realize I did an hour until the game was almost over.
count me in, I've got 17 pounds to get back to pre-pregnancy weight....
I couldn't work out early today because of a migrane, but it finally went away and was able to get a great workout in this evening. Today ended up being a great day, not to mention the Bears winning in overtime.

I just saw a pretty cool commercial for a gym. It said "no-one ever says 'I wish I didn't work out today' ". It made me think, wow, that's so true.
Sorry I am late to this thread but can I still join?  I totally need the motivation!!

I am looking to lose about another 7lbs to be where I want to be.  So ill say 7lbs in 8 weeks!

I havent been very good at eating right and going to the gym since the holidays so I am looking for people to keep me in line!!
Well, I think I'm quite late for this challenge, but it will be fun to come and read each week to keep me motivated. However, I don't think that there is a thing in this world that can un motivate me. I'm 139 and my goal is to be back at 115 eventually. I'm young enough for it. I have gained all this weight in two years and a since my last child...hmmm...

Good Luck to everyone and their goals. *wink*
No you guys, jump aboard, this is the first week anyways.

So welcome to the club.
Oooh please can I join? I'm part of the biggest loser challenge, but like the rest of you, have a relatively small amount left to lose.  Unfortunately my weight loss has stalled, and after a weekend of binge drinking i'm back up to 129.1 lbs. Hopefully this thread will keep me motivated and back on track.

I'm 5'3"ish, and hoping to lose 14lbs. What day does everyone weigh in?
I'm trying to be positive, but I was so bad yesterday.  We went out to dinner at this nice beach side restaurant.  We watched the sunset, and I ate and drank too much.  I'm not going to let it get me down though.  Back on track today!  I'm just putting yesterday behind me.

My saving grace was I spent a couple of hours working the garden.   Sweated a lot.
weekend killed me ate like a horse back on track this week
hey guys, I just wanted to give you some motivation. I'm 5"1 and currently at 153-154ish. I have been felling really sluggish today. I felt like staying in bed and watching tv all day...

so I ate my regular lunch (about 270 cals), and I got on my bike, and 'forced' myself to do some kind of excersise. I actually did 30 minutes (medium intensity) and I feel so much better. I did it in 10 minute blocks. (I ate a good amount of protein, and I think that helped some with the energy) I had a small piece of chocolate (40 cals) as a reward, and I feel energized.

Don't be afraid to reward yourself for doing a good job. paint your nails, give yourself a facial, or a small peice of a food you crave. just do something special for yourself. remember the more you excersise, the more you are allowed to eat (in moderation). That's my motivation. lol.

My long term goal is to get back to my 9th grade weight of 110-115 by august. I'm 19 almost 20 years old. I gained most of my weight after going on anti-depression pills, I'm now off of them, but the weight isn't coming off as easily as it came.
just checking in! i took the weekend off unfortunately! ahhh, but it's monday...game on. i have been doing good today and i already have a great nutritious dinner planned.

i usually weigh myself every day. but, i am going to try and not weigh myself until friday! i am just going to try and eat awesome and do my workouts and then see what friday brings when i hit the scale!
twilliams...that picture that you have for your profile is awesome. where is that?
Hi!!

I am new to this site and have really never been on forums before, but I need motivation to stay on track and loose the last 15 pounds or so. I have already lost 22 pounds since August'06 so now it is getting harder. My weakness is SWEETS I would rather have candy than real food. I am trying to get those last pounds of by April first, but time will only tell if I make it. I go to the gym 5-6 times a week doing 45-60 min. cardio so that is not my problem. The problem is the weekends and the sweets.

I am in for 8.5 pounds that makes me 127 in 7 1/2 weeks. Thanks for making this support group I am sure it will help!!

Good luck to you all AND we can do it:-)
The more the merrier...
thanks taylorn. It's my Office Space pose. - with the help of the Pacific Ocean.

The pic is from Gold Coast, Oregon, new years 2005-2006. You can't really tell from the pic, but right behind me is a 30 ft. clif down to the ocean. If you take a look at the other picture on my profile, it's a picture of the few stairs that survived the storm the night before :)
twilliams. Office Space? nice. those stairs got wrecked! i thought it was the gold coast. oregon is amazing, i only spent a small amount of time there driving from seattle to southern california. beautiful. most of my time spent near the pacific ocean was when i lived in hawaii, it's like a whole diff ocean!

hope everyone did good today. i finished at 1261 cals. pretty good. i did a small amount of strength training...sadly, i am being lazy as hell when it comes to my cardio. i am a wuss about cold weather and it was in the 40's and windy. screw that noise. i need a gym membership!
I think I need to join this thing.  I gained about 5 lbs over the holidays, but I thought I could get on track again easily enough in the new year. . . until someone close to me got sent to jail.  She's gonna lose her home, her car, her job, possibly her possessions (her ex is trying to take them over and wants to dispose of a lot of them), and we're not sure if she'll ever get custody of her son back.  The rest of us spend a lot of time lately trying to get her ex to surrender her possessions and trying to keep her kid from spending the rest of his childhood in "special" foster care.  So yeah, lots of stress going on. . . and we're all kinda stress-eating lately :-( .

So basically I'm now trying to stop the stress-eating and keep myself exercising regularly so I can take off the 5 lbs I gained over the holidays, followed by those last ten or so lbs I had left to lose before the holidays hit me.  Yeah, so any help and support I can get in this will be very appreciated!
Is it too late to join?  I joined the biggest loser but I only have 15 lbs to lose.  I was 110 pounds pre-pregnancy and pre-sit-down job.  I would like to get down to at least 115 lbs.  I am not trying to lose the 15 lbs in the 8 weeks, I will see where I am at then and go from there.  I have just started my weight loss journey and have already lost 4 pounds!  My current weight is 130 lbs.  I really need the motivation to continue especially since the school semester has started again and finding the time to exercise is going to be so tough!

I will definitely join as well.  I'm looking to lose about 10-15...CC is recommending lower but I know I'd go nuts maintaining anything less than 135.  I'm 5'6 and ~150.  I'm hoping to reach 10 by late February and 15 no later than my birthday, in April.  I'm trying not to do too much right now, as I am recovering from a back strain, but it's SO hard.  The weeks before I hurt my back I worked out like a fiend.  Hoping to get back to that.

Not All Processed Foods Are Created Equal
Fact: a diet containing whole, fresh fruits and vegetables is one of the best for a healthy mind and body. Although true, it can be hard to keep food fresh at home for longer periods of time, and if you have no time to shop every few days, boxed and canned foods become appealing. We often hear about heavily processed frozen dinners and processed foods worth avoiding, but there are minimally processed foods that do pack a lot of nutrition and may be worth having in the fridge or cupboard.
