LIFESTYLE CHANGE: No eating After 7p.m. Let's pray and motivate!
REFOCUS WEEK: This week instead of a challenge. Let's Refocus and Re-Energize ourselves by sharing our ultimate goals and motivation.
drum roll-- and Last week "No Scale" Challenge Winner is......Placedianance1. Congrats!
We can and will achieve our Goals:
Shape7
Aeromancer
Jessie19
beachchica
Ntwinky
Zeebi
Newstart607
Bangbang
Placedianance1
Palluu
betteanne
I'm looking to make positive lifestyle changes to be a healthier and happier me. I'm taking it one day at a time. I am so happy about the past two months of staying on track.
In this thread, we can focus on maintaining a consistent habit of not eating too late. My time is not after 7p.m. Yours could be 6p.m. The key is being consistent and trying not to eat at least 3 hours before going to bed.
If after those hours, we are feeling a little hungry, we could eat a raw vegetable like a carrot or a fruit, but the vegetable is better. Or simply drink some water.
Let's do this and make it happen! Come join me and commit to not eating after 7p.m or your time.
We can check in daily or weekly for accountability. I will also have a weekly contest for fun.
So let's pray and motivate each other towards a new healthier lifestyle!

What's up Everybody? I pray and hope that your day was Awesome! and even if you had a few bumps in the road, remember that "all things work together for them that love the Lord." You are truly blessed!
Goal Update:
Meal time goal: 2/7 days (back on track)
No Scale Weighing challenge: 3/7 days (put the scale where you can't find it for the next few days) LoL
Because, getting in shape the "right way" can take some time, I really put more focus on developing consistency and a healthy lifestyle. Because I know if I develop good habits and do it consistently, I will reach my goal. Yes, we can all do a "yoyo" diet and maybe lose weight in 2 seconds, but anyone who has dieted long enough knows that unless you make lifestyle changes, the weight will return plus some buddies if you don't change your eating and exercising habit. So instead of us worrying about what our scales are talking, we can put our energy into doing our daily exercise plan and/or counting calories.
Have A wonderful Evening!

Beachchica, I like your attitude. You are getting it done:)
Placedianance, your doing great! J What time do you normally eat dinner? Maybe you can push your goal to not eating after 7:30 or 8p.m. Then once you master that time, you can decide if that works for you or if you want to shoot for the 7p.m.
Also, I know for me , preparation is the key. Knowing what's for dinner in advance. It does take a little planning and when all else fails, have at least 3-5 frozen dinners just in case of an emergency. LoL
tonight , I called myself being proactive and so determined not to eat after 7p.m. I saw time was closing in on me. So I said, hey I'll get a frozen dinner. What do you know, I got a stouffer's meal that took 30 minutes to cook in the microwave and I still didn't meet my goal tonight. I'll be ready next time. I'm going to have to stock up on some chicken pot pies, lean cuisines, and the likes.
Goal update: meal time: still 2/7(read above)
Scale challenge: 4/7 Lol with placedianance1, I think you have this challenge in the bag. it helps when no scale is around:)
I think we will have multiple winners for this week's Challenge. Let's keep up the good work. Knowing is half the battle, so don't be too hard on yourself if you didn't finish the other half, you are on your way.
Much blessings this evening!

Heres the thing..no eating after seven is lsuch a break..no more worrying about what to eat.should I eat?..it is just done and it is almost like the battle of the buldge is over for another day...I love it.
Welcome Palluu and Betteanne! Palluu, I'm rooting for ya and Betteanne, thanks for the encouragement that it's worth it at the end of the journey!
I hope and pray everyone had a wonderful weekend. I definitely had a trying one, but Glory be to God-many blessings came forth! Going out of town, set me back with my 7p.m. goal, but I'm ready to get back on track.
Please update on your Goals and in place of a challenge this week. Let's take a moment to refocus on why we are here and how we plan to reach our goal.

Refocused and Re-Energized!
My Ultimate Healthy Living Goal
Current Weight: 1321bs (gained 3 lbs over the weekend) that says it all LOL
Current BMI: 30% (according to BMI home scale) maybe a little off (25% according to others) So somewhere in the middle I think.
Currently working out 4-5 times a week
Current Waist size: 29.5 inches
What motivates me: Feeling Good, being healthy and looking my Best! I made a promise to myself to look better in my 30's than in my early 20's. So, I've got to do this! LOL

I have changed my goals to not eat after 8 p.m. this is working a lot better than the 7p.m. goal. I haven't been counting my days...I am sorry. I will work on that this week!

I pray Everyone is doing well. I'm having to get back focus and on track. Let's start with a joke for this week. Have A Blessed Day!
Daily Christian Jokes
Secular Music
Driving home from church one Sunday, the father tuned the radio to a country and western station.
"How can you stand that stuff?" complained his 16-year-old son. "It's all about lonesome cowboys, gunfights and broken hearts."
Knowing he preferred rock 'n' roll, the dad asked, "Well, what's your music about?"
"That's the beauty of it," the son said. "You just don't know."

Hey everyone! I have been lurking within these posts for a while - and had a question i am sure someone on this board can answer for me.
My pastor has called for a fast - a one meal (of your choosing) fast for the next 21 days. We are praying that God gives our church direction in regards to where He will have us to plant a new church and also for divine healing for some of our members.
Anyway, with all the talk of starvation mode and calorie deficits lurking in my mind I am apprehensive about what this could do to my weight loss efforts.
And I know that the answer to this is to pray - ensuring that I am in the will of God by completing this fast which I know I will be and praying that God still allows me to meet the goals that I have set personally. My pastor has been teaching on taking our focus off of ourselves and placing it on the kingdom of God - and this is just another area where I have to do the same.
Now for the question - for my one meal should I just have a healthy well balanced meal, forgetting about the calories, etc. or should I have a healthy well balanced meal while trying to include as many calories as I can (bigger calorie bang for my buck)?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated by a fellow sister in Christ (and sorry for the lengthyness of this post). Feel free to PM or respond here.
God Bless you all!
*edited to say: Oh, and i would also like to join this group! :D although with the one meal thing for this month, it may be a little difficult to determine an eat after time but I am all for the motivation and motivating of others!*
