To be honest I was expecting to lose less in the end; I just assumed the end was the last 5 lbs and not the last 15lb.
So in a nutshell, if you're already there, how long did the last 10-15lbs take you?
I am in the same boat, on the last 15lbs since early March I have 12lbs to go (I am 2lbs behind from my goal for April). I am giving myself goal wise 3 months (July 1st) to lose these 12lbs. I went from -10lbs lost a month, to -5lbs, to -3-4lbs (still achievable barely with that rate). I figure worst case I lose 5-7lbs, ok case 7-10lbs and best achieve -12lbs loss. I too believed it be the last 5lbs to be the hardest I wasn't expecting such a slow down at last 15lbs : /
I am starting to think I am to lax as well, but after just being very ill for about a week and still with symptoms keeping me from working out, I realize it just seems that way cause of being sick, having the holidays and not working out for a while (I mean it has only been a week and 1/2 since my last workout and been in bed dreadfully sick for 5-7days isn't me being lazy :P).
I was looking up this very question just prior to being sick and some people found the last 10-15lbs took 2-6months averaging more around 4 months.
ummm... let see I started Feb. 28 and I reached by april 07. so about 5 weeks and 4 days .
I was stuck for a LONG while!! So through some, well a lot of research I started calorie cycling and carb cycling. I have lost thus far this week 5 of the 15 lbs I need to get to my goal I also did it when I hit the plateau's I have lost to date 90 lbs...I dont not go really low on my carbs like most d.. 35% carbs 45% protein 20% fat. On my low cycle days I set my calories at 1344, 1420 in account setting then on my high days I set my calories at 1565 and 1867.
SO my days look like this
If you decide to do this make sure you set you calories in your account setting because your carb, protein and fat intake amounts will all change depending on the amount of calorie intake.
I also workout 6 days a week. 3 with weights and 4 to 6 days of cardio..
This does work and it isnt a strick low carb diet so the minute you put a caeb in your mouth you'll gain the weight.'
Good luck to you!!
I eat approx 1400 cals on average a day and every week have about 2 days where I go up to 2000-2300. Am I eating too much?
