I'm 5'9, 23, 188lbs, looking to get down to 140-130 by the second half of the year. A former vegetarian, I have recently started following the "caveman" diet. 

Who's game to lose some weight with me?

Im with you i am shorter than you and have more weight to lose but i am im fed up being the fat girl at work and i no i can do it as i have done it before 5 years ago i was 105lb now in nearly 200lbs put on weight after i stopped exercising and sarted to work in an office instead of active job fed up wearing long jumpers and jeans and buying my clothes from larger ladies shops want to get back in my miss sixty skinny jeans and feel sexy and healthy again

I am 5'8" and at 193lbs. I was just at 181 before Thanksgiving, but you know what happened! I am ready to get back on track..starting today!

I am 38 5'7" and 158... I want to lose 10-15#...I am now low carb but considering the paloe diet and the whole 30 challenge... I keep losing and regaining the same 10#...so I must do something different this time...more weight training and fewer carbs is my current plan...

Kmsterns- I have been having the same problem!! I am 5'4 1/2 and 160lbs I have been trying to be on a low carb diet but have actually been eating about 1450/day and exercising. I keep losing and then gaining 10-13lbs. I used to do this when I was 105lbs 3 years ago before I had my second child. I am 38 years old. I was always thin. I was also 135 two thanksgivings ago but ever since then my weight kept slowly increasing so when I hit 160 I decided to quit being in denial and eat healthy and exercise. I want to lose and like the other reply Said get back into MY miss sixty jeans! I still have all my designer jeans that are size 26 and would love to wear them again and be the sexy woman my husband met and was with before baby. I think I also gained because I had a partial hysterectomy. It seemed like the weight gain increased after that. I am tired of not feeling pretty or wanting to go out because the only thing that fits are sweatpants or jeans that make me have a muffin top or pregnant looking belly so I have to wear a huge baggy shirt. Also my husband is only 30 and I am 38 so I would Like to be the sexy older woman as his wife instead of feeling like the fat old woman! So I am in let's all help each other! I could really use some support and would also love to help or encourage others!
Also my goal is to try and get down to 135 lbs by sometime in June if that is even possible and eventually get back down to 115-120. I hope I can realistically do this and am not too old to do it due to my metabolism and body changing with age

Hey Ash,

I keep getting close to 145 and hitting a plateau then I get discouraged...This time I want to get under 150 and fight to maintain that for a few months...I know refined carbs are what make me overeat or mindlessly eat...SO I am restricting them and I think the yo-yo issues over 3 years has caused me to lose muscle mass...I am more of an outside walk/jogger not a weights gym person but I think I have to try weights to get enough muscle to maintain the loss...

Anyway group support helps us all!!

I have similar stats and goals to most of you.  I'm 5'7.5 and I'm 186 lbs. right now and I would love to hit 160 and even possibly 150 by the end of the year.  I made a change in my eating habits and have added exercise.  Today is my 3 week mark and I've lost about 5.5 lbs so far. 

Anyone with similar stats want to share their stories or how they've lost/how long it's taken to lose?

I am in this for the long haul, i'm done with TRYING to lose weight and I'm going to make sure that I'm successful this time!

Oh I forgot to mention that I don't count calories.  I find it too tedious for my lifestyle.  I have made serious changes in my diet and have added exercise 6 days a week so I have chosen to listen to my body instead of counting calories, and it's working.

Woo responsibility! I'd love to join. =]

I'm 5'9, 20, 184lb down from 200 since January. Want to be down to 150lb by August.

All serious parties say "serious"! I'm in for weekly weigh-ins, daily or every-second-daily accountability private messaging, etc. It doesn't just have to be weight related. I'd like to think of it as a pen-pal with an emphasis on looking sexy as soon as possible Kiss

I'm doing great so far.

 

Lost 2# or more & I feel better and thinner in my thighs...I missed my Exercise yesterday but am going to make up for it today.  I am not eating at home for the next few days so I planned ahead and packed my snacks and lunches so we'll see how it goes. Also I have a dinner out but I have a plan to just eat low carb/paleo and skip the potatoes etc....

I hope everyone is doing great today and feels great.

PS I am serious about losing this 10#...we can do a closed group or PM or FB or whatever works for everyone

Sounds good! Yes I am "serious" too:-) I am at the low end of my 10lbs of fluctuation today so that makes me happy. But I had some disputes with my husband last night and ended up going to bed early and caught myself waking in the middle of the night and eating a chocolate protein bar!!! It is so hard if things get a little rocky with us. And I know he is very unhappy with my weight and likes very thin girls so sometimes that makes it even harder. Especially cause he is only 30 and I am 38...:-( but I will keep trying. And don't get me wrong I am not doing this for him. I am doing it for me and to be healthy and live a healthy lifestyle for me and my children....

Men are difficult creatures. I'm sure you know this, and I sound like an ass in my infinite 24 years of wisdom, haha...but it only took me 18 to learn that! Don't let him dictate your emotions. I know that's really hard, but I had to grip the mirror on this one because I GAINED 25 pounds allowing my ex boyfriend to make me feel self conscious. I knew he wanted me to be thinner and the pressure of that made me emotional and it made me eat more. Which is why I'm here :) Basically, what I'm saying is I'll be your chocolate protein bar.

SO, I weighted in at 155 today...down 5# in two weeks! Awesome!....6# more and I will be back to my weight of last year...

I have been swimming or walking every day and had to eat out a few times just I just skipped the bread/potatoes and I guess it worked out ok...

How is everyone doing this weekend?

I'm 5'9 and WAS 177 Jan 9. By logging in here everyday, using laws of attraction and positive thinking AND using volumetrics (lots of very low calorie foods to feel full) I'm now 155! I will lose 10 more pounds. I say this because I believe this. When I go to bed at night I visualize the weight melting off and my skinny clothes fitting my body. Anyone can use these tools! It's working for me and will work for you!
Sorry for the delay in getting back to all of you! Last weekend went well a bunch of us went for a 5 mile hike in Tunica Hills which was fun but also very hard at times. Wow could I feel my legs burning they were on fire!! But I am happy to say it was more enjoyable than when I went two summers ago and felt like I needed to be carried out of there!! I am still eating very healthy and drinking lots of water and exercising a little bit each day. But also allow myself a treat or dessert every once in awhile to stop myself from going on a binge. Also I usually eat it AFTER I have had an extra good or strenuous workout since my body will still continue to burn the calories after I am done working out. If you eat it before your calories are burnt up on digestion and not targeting the food or fat correct?!?! Well good news is at my monthly weigh in I am happy to say I went from 162.7 down to 152 lbs so I lost almost 11 lbs in one month and believe I have already lost two more!! Maybe I can get down to 130 by June... Who knows but I will keep on trying! How are all of you doing? Vmon ladies let's do this...we can do this if we stick together!!
So far things are better on the homefront...still eating well and exercising and today weighed on at 148 yay!!!
