I like this long term goals, but are you serious about it? I don't want to sound mean, really, is just that every time I sign up for them people tend to disappear, which is understandable. But this time I am in it for the long run and would really love a support group to reach that line with and can withstand the many obstacles we are sure to hit.
Yes count me in. Oh wow, to think of being 50lbs thinner and healthier. How awesome for all of us to do this together! This is my second day on here, so I am a newbie. I already packed my food for tomorrow-turkey sandwich with baby spinach with mustard, celery, carrots. Oh for breakfast 2 pieces of wheat bread with peanut butter and a banana. Hope I can stick to it. Congrats on you new baby!! Good-Luck to us all.
How about each day we get on here and tell what we ate for the day. That would keep us accountable but we have to be truthful no matter what. Starting tomorrow?
What if we have a weekly weigh in instead of a daily food log. I say this only because if something comes and we cant get on everyday we wont feel like giving up. Having a weekly weigh in will still keep us accountable. How about Monday..tomorrow?? Sound good for everyone?
Wow. I feel this group is amazing. I also feel good that you are long time CCers. I have joined a few groups before but never felt the motivation to do anything. maybe this time, I will do something with you guys.
I like the idea of losing 50 pounds by March. I also like the weekly weigh in idea. Monday is a good day too.

Hey gals, can I jump in here too? I've been on CC for a couple year now. I originally lost about 70lbs, but have slacked off a bit too much in recent months and have gained back about 20lbs, yikes!! I used to have a great personal trainer who really helped keep me motivated and accountable, but he moved away. My new trainer is great with the exercise, but not so much with motivation and accountability. I also can't afford to see him very often either. So, looks like I need to learn to be accountable to myself. Maybe joining you guys with this goal is just what I need. I still need to lose about 75 lbs total. So, for my Monday morning weigh in, I'm at a dreaded 206.2 lbs this morning. I've been stuck just over 200 for a while now. It's driving me nuts, especially after I was under it for like a year! Hey, what about exercise? Shouldn't we set goals and report back to each other on that too? My goal this week is to work out at least five times between now and Sunday, starting with today after work. For calories, I'm looking to hit around 1600 per day. Maybe we can report our calories for each day of the week too, rather than trying to list everything we ate, even if we just post them all once a week or whatever. Okay, that's it for now!

I am a CC newbie of just 2-3 weeks and have already loved the enthusiasm of many of its members, though not had a chance to connect with others that are in the same boat as myself. I am currently 213, looking to drop a total of 75 lbs. over the longterm and am looking for the motivation to stay focused! Please, please, please help! I know I can manage but friends and accountability make it so much more of a challenge! (And I love a good challenge!)

I would love to be counted in. We need to get a thread set up for weigh in. I have been here for sometime. I was originally over 280lbs. Now I fluctuate from 215-220. I want to get this last bit off. If I can actually do 50 it would be perfect.
Sorry guys it's taken so long for me to reply. I had work this morning and have just now gotten home. Okay I think it's a great idea to do the calories and all that jazz lol. But are we doing it once a week? Any who here is my Monday weigh in.
Start Weight: 210 (2weeks ago)
Weight Now: 200 (I am so proud of my self 1.cause I was able to buy my first reward haha....yes I have rewards for when I hit cetain targets lol. I bought two new bottles of nail polishes =D YAY! hahaha annnd 2. because I feel I am on the right track)
Anywho my Goal weight is 125. Whopp! Wish me luck lol.
Exercise goal for this week is to work out 5 times this week for 30 mins a pop. So far so good. I got on the cycle bike today =)
Does anybody know how to start a thread and have it just be us or something? Or who ever decides to jump in with in this month lol. Cause it would be silly for someone to jump in during February and be like YEAH 50lbs BY MARCH!! Cause it would so not happen then haha.
Also if not everyone knows how to get back to your original post (im not sure cause we have some newbies) just go to the Comunity button at the top and wait for the drop box to pop up. Under Forms there should be a "My Post" button click it and it should bring up all your former post and then you can get back to us with out having to find us on the main for list =D. Hope that helps anyone who has difficulty finding this post again lol.

50 lbs? 6 Months? I'm in!
I started CC about a year and a half ago at 230, I lost a 35lbs and even saw 193 for a while! But I've been slacking the last few months, I'm hovering at 200. I fell off track cause I was working out too much and eating waaaaay to much to get my energy back, I felt hopeless and started doing whatever I wanted. I'm getting married in June and I need to get my a** in gear. My goal is 135, but hitting 150 before my wedding would be remarkable :D
Weigh in Today: 200.5
Goals for this week: Get in some light/moderate excersize, walking, maybe some bike riding before it's too cold. Get back to logging 1500 cals everyday. STOP cheating/**** myself. Have a 600+ calorie deficit everyday.

Count me in too! I just found this site today and I'm totally psyched! I am now the heaviest that I have ever been in my life at 300 pounds! yucko! so to be at 250 by March sounds awesome to me! A little positive motivation goes a LONG way, thanks everybody!

Mindylady: Welcome to CC!!! STICK WITH THIS it works! Seriously! Cut out all full sugar soda (for now, until you can cut out diet too, soda is awful) and any other high calorie drinks, stick to the recommended calories CC gives you and try walking 10-15 minutes a day for your first week and gradually work it up. You will lose so much weight in your first month you will be shocked. Promise!

Hey, so is everyone getting off to a good start? Me, not so much :( I thought I was eating okay yesterday, but logged it at the end of the night and it all came to 2800 calories. Wow!! After years of logging cals, you'd think I would know how to "guess" better than that. Apparently, I need to stop guessing and get back to logging. Didn't make it to the gym either, but I have a training session tonight so I know I'll at least make that! Okay, so today is a new day. I'll get it right this time.

Fadeaway: Guessing never works for me. I mean I can usually eat maintenance while guessing but never under :S

Mind if I join in? Scale currently says 195.5 (was 226, got down to around 160 last winter, and packed a bunch back on!) hoping to be down to 140 eventually, so 50 lbs will bring me nice and close to my goal!
Did well so far this week (yes, I know it's only Tuesday). Salad and protein for lunch yesterday and today, breakfast was oatmeal and soy milk today, wiht some cranberries, and dinner is home made chili. Ran last night, walked for 3.5 km at lunch today. I need someone to help keep me accountable!!!!
Hi! I hope it's not too late to join in. I'm a long-time CC lurker and (until now) one-time poster. I've always had an issue with staying on track, so I'm hoping this might help. I'm about almost exactly 50 pounds from my goal and I'm getting married in March so if I could get anywhere near my goal, I'd be happy!
Currently I'm at 183.4 (down from 187.4) and my goal is 130. Let's do this! =)
