how can i lose stomach fat and love handles in a month?
Hi everyone,
Im 17, 5'4, and weigh 119. I know i dount weigh too much but my fat is mostly on my stomach! Im skinny everywhere else. I have huge love handles. Im having a competition with my sisters and want to get a completly flat stomach and lose the love handles. I eat healthy but dont go to the gym much. How many times should i go to the gym a week? and what should i do there inorder to achieve a flat stomach in a month?
thankyouu
Buy a pair of jeans that fit.
Losing your stomach is easy unless you're one of those people who say they want to lose weight but "can't control" themselves and eat **** while going on a "diet". But losing love handles could take some time :)
You could try losing a couple of pounds (and I mean only a couple) but it sounds like you would mostly benefit from toning up.
Losing your stomach is simple, but it is certainly not easy. Calories in, calories out. But even if your stomach isn't very big it can look flabbier than it is if you don't have a lot of muscle.
Lift weights (I'm being serious now, though I wasn't really kidding before). Heavy weights. You'll see results in a month. Do not try to lose weight. That's crazy talk.
I do New Rules of Lifting for Women and within a month my stomach was flatter, though I had gained some muscle weight. I was also down a size. And now I'm down two sizes and I've still lost hardly any weight. You'll get smaller by lifting rather than by dieting.

What's your calorie count like? Do you eat at or above maintenance, and if so, how much above?
I am looking for a change since it seems like my body has "un-toned" especially in the stomach area when I started going hard on cardio and neglecting strength (I haven't been doing that very long though!). I'd love to switch it up and get results like the ones you're talking about, especially if it means no more large deficits!
I'm probably a lot older than you, so my calorie count won't help you, but I'm not eating at much of a deficit or I'd be losing. If you are already small and just want to get rid of flab, don't bother cutting calories. Lift weights. You might gain a little weight, but your body will get smaller. It happens fast, and muscle definition is very sexy. Also, eat protein, probably at every meal.
I'm not really an expert on this, but if you poke around in the fitness forum, you'll find all kinds of good advice.
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
