Let's make this public

Every Wednesday is 'weigh day'. On my first weigh day, exactly one week ago today, I looked down to my amazement at a scale that read '201'.

2 lbs lower than when I started.

Today at weigh day, I took my shoes off and emptied my pockets in the usual ceremonial manner. I felt I had not done as good this week as I had the last. I thought to myself 'please please please say 200, I will be happy with one single pound'. I closed my eyes until I heard the beep.

198.

I have been here for 2 weeks and I have lost 5 lbs, and I am feeling awesome! So I'd like to publicly display some of my personal goals over the next year. They are as follows:

1. I want to go to a store that sells normal sized clothing and buy something without an X in front of it.

2. I want to wear a tank top in the summer.

3. I want my boyfriend to wrap his arms around my waist without me cringing or pulling away.

4. I want to stare in awe at my old pictures.

5. I want to see the looks on their faces! Like these:

(Surprised<(omigosh! You look great!)

I'm not trying to do it, I am doing it. I refuse to be stopped.

I'm in!

I started at 275 last Wednesday. Today I was 271.4.

My goals:

1. Go shopping in the Junior's department once again! (I'm still in my 20's to pull it off! LOL)

2. Never have to shop in the women's department again.

3. Look great in my saddle again!

4. Feel better about myself and my self-image.

5. Run a 5K and feel great doing it!

Good luck to you then! Remember that your weight can vary from day to day, so don't get mad if you don't seem to lose weight one week. ;)

I run track and am a teen... So my goals are a little different, I guess.

1) Get down to 125, again, OR turn all the extra to muscle. 2) I run the half mile in track because I have bad ankles. I want to strengthen them and run a marathon. 3) Have an amazing bikini body and maintain that through college, get thinner for senior pictures at the end of summer/throughout the school year.

1) Initially get down to 70kg
2) Then get down to an UGW of 65kg
3) get into the habbit of running once a week (3x during the summer holidays when I don't have rowing training)
4) Get to the point where I look good exercising in just lycra shorts and a sports bra (its way too hot exercising with t-shirts at the moment but am no where near thin enough to ditch the t-shirt)
5) Get back into my size 10 jeans (comfortably) - fitted into them during my more active period during the winter!
6) Row a sub 8minute 2k on the erg (this is probably the hardest, I have a huge mental block that has to go!)

Good luck everyone!

No kidding! I'm now 26, and I've been dressing like a frumpy grandmother my whole life because of my weight. I'll tell you one thing, when I reach my goal, I'm buying stuff like this:

And I'm going to feel beautiful! Laughing
