What should your measurements be? I should have taken mine in the beginning but I didnt, just took waist measurements. What should hips be? what about measuring arms and thighs? I know I want to get my waist to 29inches to start with. I was just wondering is there a number to strive for. I dont know if there is a number we should strive to have. Am I making any sense?

oh come on moonsky! you are a beautiful girl! I showed my hubby the clothes and your pic and he thought- wow she is beautiful! dont beat yourself up! I would love my bust to stay- 38c but waist to be at most 29 inches and hips 36 would be nice but Ive had 2 kids so not sure how much it will change.

moon my arms are 12 when I flex but 11 when they hang down beside me. i think 10 would be good. I have long arms and hubby says they look great but I feel like they need to be more slender.
But slappy, your so tall and I'm only 5'4. I admit, my arms and legs are smaller but I carry so much weight in my mid-section. I just want to fit in all my old clothes agian, not looking to have a 6 pack or anything like that. My waist might be a 30 but my fat tommy under my waist is a 35. So, I need to looses taht extra 5 inch roll LOL. I mailed your clothes out on Fri. so you should have them by the end of the week. I would of offered you pants too but I know they would be too short!
Haven't taken' measurements. I wish I had when I started out, 34 pounds ago, heh. It would be very interesting to see how I've changed since then.
One thing for you girls complaining about how guys have smaller waists (in jeans anyway) ... Have you ever noticed how we wear the waists of our jeans AT our waists, and guys seem to wear them underneath their bellies? At least overweight men do. So that's not their waist size, it's their ... what, hips?

Okay, this was harder than it sounded. I wasn't sure where to measure my hips and waist, so I did a little research and if anyone else wants to see what I came up with, the below link is helpful:

Im a 35 on my waist, and a 40 on my hips. Exactly. Hehe but I am very big boned. You can see my ribs and hip bones.

I'm almost embarassed to tell you my measurements after reading how slim you all are compared to me. Let me just say... my measuring tape only goes to 36 inches, and it's not long enough. :(

waist dropped to 33 inches!!! 1 more gone
hips 38.5 in. (half an inche gone)

took my measurements again and I lost 2 inches, from my bust! Figures. Haven't lost anywhere else yet.
I have a 30 inch waist and am at 18% bodyfat...now that was a scary experience...what ever posessed me to do a bodyfat test in the first place?!?!??? Was I drinking???? ;)
According to my Body Mass Index I'm a whopping overweight girl...so it just goes to show you that a lot of these "guidelines" are just that and things vary from person to person.

My waist is my problem area to me!I was so depressed but now I can see its not just me..this helps soo much.....I was begining to think I was some sort of freak..thanks to all those who shared..I feel so much better now!! "Ideally" ones waist is meant to be 10 - 12 inches smaller than ones hips and bust..ie so called perfect proportions would be 36..25..56..Which is unrealistic..at least of me.. but My waist is way out of whack with the rest of me..:(..if anyone has any ideas please let me know!!!!

I don't have all my measurements in front of me, but I know collectively I've lost nearly 10 inches already and just over 15lbs since I started my losing streak in the beginning of January.

if I had to guess right now, I'd say my waist is 31, bust probably about 38. That's how I feel on a 'thin' day. My goal is 135 and i'm not sure where that would really put me as far as measurments go. I'd die to be a size 5, but right now I'm shooting for a 7.
Funny (well not really) thing about my weight gaining adventures is I never gained it in my bra. I'm the same 36 B for boring since forever! My mom and sister are a lil more "gifted" up top than I am and my mom even joked that if I want bigger boobs I should put on 50lbs. Well, didn't try to gain weight, but when I did it didn't go there! I tease my sister and ask her if I can borrow a cup, like i'm asking her for a cup of sugar or something. I know tho that she'd gladly give me some of her DDs if she could LOL. I wouldn't want to be huge, but C cup always sounded nice to me... guess I'll stick with my water bras! lol

Ha, ha, ha about the boobs nymo! I had the same problem...went from a D-cup when I was overweight to an A-cup now!!!! The boobs were the first to go! How fair is that???

at my post Feb. 24th I weighed 146.8 now 140.4 (lost 6.4 lbs)
bust is 36 (losot 1.5 inches not happy about this number dropping)
waist is 33 (lost an inch)
hips are 37.5(lost 1.5 inches)
thighs are 21 each( half an inch from each)
arms are 12 still (good dont want them to be bulky)
not bad in a months time!

Waist 35.5--- would like to be 30ish (gets me into a 7)
Hips 41.25----maybe a couple to shape the figure porportionally.
Thighs 24-----hate my rubbing thighs like to lose a couple inches
Arms 12.5--- they are ok... nothing hanging
Abs 39---- wouldnt it be nice if these could be 30 as well

Big toe 3.25--- Ha!
My face has slimmed down but dont know how to measure that. Basically I want to lose in the abs, waiste and thighs. I try to target those areas at the gym.
