This is my first challenge...and I've lost 3 pounds since I started 2 weeks ago.

How do you get involved in the challenge?  I've just joined Weight Watchers here in Canada and my first week I lost 6.2lbs (always loose more in the first week or two).

Am I too late to join in? (My weigh in days are Tuesdays).

stormkat - oh darn you just missed the sign up. The thread was called Biggest Loser Part 3 Challenge sign up. I guess you could email "biggestloserfan" and see if you can still join. We had 2 people drop out of our team so she may let you. Her email is included at the top of the thread.

I ate pretty bad this morning when I got off of work too but I hit the treadmill and bowflex to counteract it as much as I could...it was probably about a 800 calorie splurge but that still leaves me a managable 1000 more calories for the rest of the day if I'm good
we had two team mates drop out already I wonder if the other two teams are experiencing this................
So, I was really bad yesterday cause of my birthday... BUT today, I did good.   I stayed on track...WOO HOO...  I gained 4 pounds today from yesterday... SO, I'm hoping tomorrow's weigh in will be a good loss!

I'll update you all in the morning...
WOO HOO  all the sodium weight is gone.. I'm down 4.75 pounds today from yesterday..  :)

Not much new with me. THis is day 4 of my recovery week. I don't know if I can expect a loss this week at all since I'm not doing any exercise, but I'll just keep my eating super clean for the next few days & see what happens. I'll take any loss at all!

But after that, watch out! I'm gonna be rockin' my new workout dvds & hopefully the weight will continue to drop like it has been!

sabybaby784 - I think we have one new team player that replaced one of our drop outs. Not sure if any other team has lost any or not. I'm sure some people that sign up for these challenges don't check in ever again. At least that's what I've found from running the monthly weight loss challenge last month. Oh well!! We'll stick together the best we can!

beckab00 - ok, bday's over!!! Way to do good yesterday & stay on track!!! It sure paid off fast!!! Good for you girl!!!
Happy belated birthday beckaboo!  Birthday's are meant for eating badly =) 

So, still on the plateau it looks like.  I've tried everything I know to try.  Upped calories, downed calories, worked out more, quit working out, slept longer (to the extent I can), ate more fiber, drank more water, I'm at a loss now.  NAyone know anything I've missed to do?
Ugh, the past few days have not been good at all. =(  I haven't gone to work out since Tuesday, and I feel HORRIBLE!  I wanted to get a quick one in tonight, but it just doesn't look like it's going to happen.  And no matter how hard I try, I'm eating above 1200 cals.  I've been averaging out at about 1600, which is okay on days that I go work out cuz I burn about 300 of those cals (which brings me back down to 1300) - but I'm eating that much and not doing anything. *frustrated*  My boyfriend just came into town on Wednesday, so I didn't do crap on Wednesday (I had other family stuff to do also).  He told me he'd go work out with me yesterday, and on our way to the gym his mom and dad called and said they wanted to take him out to dinner for his birthday - so we ended up at Olive Garden instead!  I did good though - ate a little bit of the salad (no bread! man that was hard...) and a bowl of minestrone soup... the stupid chocolate cake and the andes after dinner mints were simply irresistable though (lol).  Today, we're going to have dinner with some friends of ours who are also in town for the weekend - SO, i can't go workout, AND we're going out for dinner AGAIN!  I've been trying to do good today (and I was) until some people in my office whipped out a big 'ole chocolate cake for one of my co-workers' birthday.  They cut me a small peice and I didn't want to be rude (hehe) and just leave it there... so I just ate the cake (bread) part and threw away the frosting.  Anyway, it's almost lunch time and I am really having a hard time figuring out what the heck I'm gonna eat that isn't TOO many cals.  I think I'm gonna go with a salad with grilled chicken and light dressing *shrugs* who knows.  I just HATE feeling this way.  I am SO SO looking forward to tomorrow morning.  I'm gonna get up early and go work out!  Might even add on a few more minutes on the treadmill...

Went to dinner and a rock concert last night! I was bad...I had a salmon dish but with pasta :/ and I had a couple of fruity coconut drinks...then after the concert at midnight had a pretzel dog. I find it stressful when I am having fun to think about healthy choices...so I just said whatever and had what I wanted. I know its horrible. I haven't been able to work out today...but the Zumba workout DVDs that I bought just arrived so I shall start tomorrow.

Today I went to FirstWatch with my BF and had scrambled egg whites, turkey sausage, and 3 slices of tomatoe. I have no idea what the calories for that was but I think it was the healthiest choice.

Ok gang!! Here's the deal. A few of us have made some poor food choices (including me) - no big deal. It's just the beginning, PLUS it's only Friday, soooooo, starting tomorrow, get your head in the game. Eat good food & exercise like you're really on The Biggest Loser show and playing for $250,000. Afterall, we're playing for much more than that here - PRIDE!!!!! YEAH!!!! Oh and smaller, hot bodies! lol!!!!

Great post deejlb.  It is just the beginning and we all have plenty of time to pull together and make good decisions and get to our individual goals!!
So, I've been doing pretty good this week. I'm down .6 lbs since the first weigh in which is good. I'm happy. But tonight i'm kind of worried about. It's my moms 50th birthday, and me and my dad are taking her out for dinner and my entire family is going to be there (she doesn't know about that part... hehe :D). I'm talking cousins, aunts, uncles, some friends (most from out of town)... the whole she-bang! Some of these people I probably haven't seen in a year or so... I'm just worried I'll be temped by good (bad for you) food and cake and all that. Any advice on how to get through the evening withour too many battle scars?? lol

Thanks diogee! We can sure encourage each other. I really like the fact that now I am accoutable to all of you guys. If I don't pull numbers it may be the one pound I could've lost to put us in first place!

thesilverstar121 - Congrtas on being down 0.6 already!! Way to contribute to our total!!! & you WILL be tempted tonight for sure. I guess you kinda have two choices. Avoid all bad things at any costs! or Just have a nibble of the most favorite thing you see! Oh and eat a big meal before you go, that way you won't be as hungry. Good luck, I'm sure you'll do fine!!
Hello, Team 2! Did you decide on a name, yet?  Anyways - I have been assigned to you (like it or not, sorry) and so here I am!  It's not weight day but I lost another pound!  Woohoo.  I've been counting calories quite strictly for about a week now.  The Sunday before the challenge started actually - I've lost 3 lbs since I started watching what I eat about 2 weeks ago.  I don't lose easily...that's why I am here.  I am exercising 6 days a week, and only eating 1700 calories or less.  I've had 1300 lately and felt really good so....I'm doing what I can!  Glad to be here.....Zee
