Does natural and artifically flavored coffee have any calories?

Quote  |  Reply
Good morning everyone!  Are there any calories in coffee made from flavored coffee beans?  When I record my calories everyday, I put zero for coffee.  However, I mostly drink coffee made from  flavored coffee beans (Irish Cream or Hazelnut).    I am looking at the ingredients for a 2.0 oz. package of CAROLANS Irish Cream coffee.  It reflects 100% Arabica coffee beans, CAROLANS natural and artificial flavors.

Thanks for your help with this one.  I love flavored coffee.   However, if it is a lot of calories, then I will switch to regular coffee beans.  I cannot afford to waste too many calories on coffee :>

Yes. Regular coffee has calories, thus flavored coffee most definately does.
Yeah, coffee does have calories. I drink a cup of Caffiato which is flavored coffee drink and it has about 85 calories. I'm not sure but I think regular coffee has less than that.
I don't know about flavored coffee, but you CAN look up the caloric info on coffee on here (i think its like 6 calories per cup, nothing major).  I'm sure those flavorings are just flavorings and don't add much to it.  It's the flavored DRINKS that add sugar and cream that bump the calories.

Thank you all for your responses.  I do not know why I always thought that coffee did not have any calories. I just looked up coffee on the site and found:
hey there.. this link says at the bottom that adding flavors to the beans themselves does not add any extra calories to coffee.. and coffee itself without sugar and cream or milk is not very high in calories.. so i say drink up!  :)

Sorry, I hit the enter button too early.  Again:

Thank you all for your responses.  I do not know why I always thought that coffee did not have any calories. I just looked up coffee on the site and found:

- 10 oz. cup of Hazelnut coffee from Dunkin Donuts is 20 calories.  - A grande coffee of the week @ Starbucks is 10 calories - A tall coffee of the week @ Starbucks = 5 calories    I will use this as a guage.  Thank goodness there are not many calories.  Have a good day!

Obsidyan, Thank you!  This is awesome site and has all the informatin I needed.  I am going to continue to drink up and enjoy.  Have a good day.
FYI Dunkin Donuts uses flavor shots (syrups) for their coffees. Those do have sugar in them. I know the local donut shops around here no longer brew different flavors and are now exclusively using these flavor shots. The same thing with McDonalds and their new coffee drinks too.
