Hi everyone. I am new to this site and would greatly appreciate any tips or suggestions anyone could give me. I am trying to loose 150 lbs or more. My starting weight was 314 lbs and I am down to 305.5. I am eating roughly less than 1800 calories a day and trying not to eat after 8 pm at night. I listed my self ads sedentary when actuality I am relatively active due to where I work. I know that I have a very long road ahead of me but I am really trying to live healthier and would greatly appreciate any advice or help people could give me.
Good for you! I started my journey at 280, so i understand having a long way ahead of me, but I have found that taking it one day at a time really helps. I also realized that I do best with a lower carbohydrate and higher protein lifestyle, but everyone is different. I also think that you should be honest with your activity level since it really does matter. There was a point where I tried to keep my calories at 1500 but was working out 3-4 hours a day between swim practice and walking everywhere, and I couldn't understand why I wasn't losing. You need to make sure that to account for the activity, if you don't eat enough you body will think that you are trying to starve it, and you want to get rid of the weight not hold on to it.

Hey! I'm 22 and currently 227 lbs, but I started at 252 lbs. I am not new to CC but I took a nice (or not so nice) 4 month long break. So I'm back at it and wanting to be successful and lose more weight! I was looking for some new supporters and I stumbled upon this post. So I have supported you, if you know how to support people already then please support me back! I write journal entries often, and I comment on my supporters' journals. It's nice to know when people care how you're feeling, and even if you're just ranting about something, I'll always leave an encouraging word or something like that :) I'm pretty encouraging, but if you want a tough love person it's probably not me! I'm definitely a sympathetic ear, so yeah I'm a good person to have as a supporter. So if you want a supporter then support me, and if you leave journals and such, or make comments at the end of your day I'll always look at them :)
(And anyone else reading this, if you want me to support you too I will!)
Just as a side note I don't much like supporting people who don't make entries or comments or anything, currently I have lots of supporters who I don't think do anything on the site, so there's just no way for me to support them! :P
