Hi. I've been eating like 1300 calories every day to lose weight. Which might be fine if I didn't exercise, or wasnt a teen but I do and I am.

So yes, I'm quite aware that I am undereating and I'm trying to eat more. But it's so hard!!

Anyway, my question is what are some HEALTHY snacks and foods I can eat to reach my limit.

Also, if I walk my dog everyday (jog for 10-15 min) do weight lifting every other day, and pop pilates (30-60 mins) every other day, how many calories should I be eating?

Oh, yeah. I'm 162 pounds 5'6 and 15 years old.

An answer to either question is fine....hello?

Your BMR (the amount of calories that you need for bodily functions like breathing) is about 1700 so you should never never never eat below that. Considering you are a teenager and still growing and developing, you should really only aim to lose a pound per week. With your activity level, you probably burn 2500 to 3000 calories per day and should therefore eat 2000 to 2500 calories per day to lose a pound per week. You are MAJORLY undereating. Some calorie dense but healthy foods are avocado, olive oil, nut butters (peanut butter, almond butter, etc), cheese, cream sauces, salad dressing, etc. I'm sure other people will add to this list for me.

Hey we have the same stats except I am 5 8 and 165 lbs and also 16 but pretty darn close what's your goal weight I an easily maintain with NO exercise or anything on 2000-2500.

I want to get down to 150. Then, depending, I might go to 145-140-ish. What about you?

Oh, really? Wow, I didn't know. I've actually asked this kinda question before, and the answer I got was 1600-ish.

The reason I didn't follow their instructions was because I'm crazy, and I kept thinking Oh no! I'll totally gain pounds! But I'm trying now.

Anyway thanks for the advice. And the food suggestions. :D

I like getting these 12 grain mini crackers. You can have 22 of them for only 140 cals. And also 2 tbs of hummus for 45 cals. It's really good I get thm from trader joes but I'm sure u can get something similar from another store. Also u can always go for any fruits and veggies w/ cheese or nut butters or dressings.
