22 Years old goal of loosing 100 pounds

Quote  |  Reply
I started out my weight loss journey @ 225 pounds.. Stepping on that scale and seeing over 200 completely shocked me. I knew I was progressively getting bigger throughout the past 2 years but I suppose I was in denial. That hit me like a pile of bricks. I was disgusted. Something had to change. I started out walking and cutting out junk.. And the weight started to come off. I've worked myself up to working out 4 times a week for 1 hour and now am weighing in at 194 pounds for a weight loss thus far of 36 pounds. I am looking for people who are in the same position as me. I am finding it difficult to stay on track and I don't have anyone around me who is struggling with the same issues... Anyone who would be into chatting or being a supportive text buddy or something let me know??

Good luck to every one on their weight loss journeys!!

Hey I'm Kat. I'm 23, and I'm looking to lose a little over 100pounds. I've been yo yo-ing my weight for about a year. I started hardcore a few days ago. I lost 1.6 pounds my first day. I was super disappointed. But day 2, just by the end of the night I'm down 4 pounds!

Congratulations on your 30 pounds. I can't wait until I can say the same!
hello! im in a simular situation myself. i started off at 218.4 on May 4th 2012 and now i am down to 200.4 im trying to get down to about 150 which is about 70 lbs from my starting weight. Btw I am 19. I'm trying to reach my goal by January and I can use all the help/ motivation I can get :)

I started from a high of 285 pounds and am down to 258.2 my lowest before starting to eat junk food and regaining to 268 was 249.2.  I have a few different things you may want to read/listen to.  Its actually quite a bit but I think if you do it'll help considerably.

The last link is a link to a site called the Paleo Physicians network if your looking for a good doctor focused on health and healing its a good place to go...though the list isn't that big yet.  Its not as profitable to heal people as it is to place them on a pill and than another and another.  They do have things they will want you to take to heal you, but everything has  focus of dealing with your issues not just treating a symptom but treating causes.

Sorry for the big post I know its a ton of info hope someone finds it useful.  All the links may not apply to everyone as there is one that talks about dealing with RA.  I found that for a coworker dealing with RA whose in her 60s.

The second link is a set of blog posts by Jack Kruse a neurosurgeon who blogs on many important health topics and the following are the ones you should start with.  The following are actually links too I forgot you can click directly on them I printed this out for a coworker so the links didn't work.
