The peanut butter diet... to good to be true?
Eating nothing but 1500 cal a day in peanut butter?
it is a good source of mono-unsaturated fats "good fats", proteins, and other essential micro nutrients such as vitamin E. plus it's low in carbohydrates...
can i try this diet?

If you're trying to kill yourself, sure, go for it! lol Seriously, no. It's not at all healthy to ONLY eat ONE food ALL day long. Besides, I've heard something about peanut butters having molds in them or something like that. So no, don't ONLY eat peanut butter. There is no reason to go on a "diet." Change your way of eating to one that you can do FOREVER. If you go on a "diet" just to shed a few pounds, you can pretty much guarantee to gain it all back and then some.
Nope, you may not try this diet.

That's one diet I haven't heard of but that doesn't sound possible. There's lots of other vitamins, fiber, etc you need in your day by eating a variety of foods.
all protein and fat without carbs can hurt your kidneys. not a good idea.
add bread, fruit, veggies and you'll be headed in the right direction!

I don't know how you could do that without throwing up! I much prefer soy nut butter but that's neither here nor there; Would you really enjoy eating 1500 cals of peanut butter a day? AND NO JELLY?!
Besides the health risks involved, 1500 calories worth of peanut butter is only about a cup. Could you really get through a day on just a cup of peanut butter?
As much as I love peanut butter... and I mean I REALLY love it, in an unhealthy, lustful way... I could not stomach this "diet". I don't see how you could ask the question "too good to be true?" because it doesn't sound "good" at all. Eating nothing but PB? Ick. You realize you'd probably NEVER be able to go to the bathroom, right? And the nutrition you'd be lacking from other foods would probably make you pretty sick.
i mean yeah.. but i was just asking :( don't get mad at me.
I'm not getting mad, lol... I'm just shocked that there even IS such a thing.
if something sounds too good to be true..........then it probably isn't true.
Eating nothing but peanut butter all day? You honestly want to do this?
there's actually a book for a Peanut Butter Diet, but it has a lot more than peanut butter in it!
i couldn't eat just 1 food. variety Baby!

ewww......I rather just diet normally than eat just PB...
Your diet should have a healthy balance of meats, grains, dairy, nuts, etc. there is no way to get all the micro nutrients you need from eating peanutbutter day in and day out. Besides, how do you get the sticky peanut butter out of your mouth without a nice glass of cold milk?
I like Peanut Butter.
But JUST Peanut Butter?
First of all, would you feel sated ALL DAY on 1500 calories a day? That's only.. I dunno... 15 tbsp of most peanut butters. 15 tbsp of food. All. Day. Maybe I'm being too conservative. Maybe it's 20. That said... All day.. even only 20 tbsp of food. You think you'd stay full?
Then, of course, there's the boredom factor. I like peanut butter, but I also like other foods and if all I had to eat was peanut butter, I'd get bored of it real quick.
I don't think this is anything short of a really messed up fad diet and don't suggest you do it.

Are you referring to this diet?

This is marketed as a peanut butter diet but it isn't only PB!!!
HTH,
Patty
Basically, I don't think there's any kind of one food alone that can make up a healthy diet.
