I'm 24 years old 5'3'' and 123-124 lbs currently. I used to weigh about 118-119 lbs about 2 years ago. I slowly gained weight in those years. I feel best when I was about 118 lbs and I want to lose approximately 5 lbs. I am also getting married in 5 months and would like to look my best on my special day.
I want to start a support/motivation group for petite ladies like me who want to lose those pesky 5-10 lbs. We can have weekly weigh ins, share encouraging words, advice, etc.
I'm looking to build a relatively small group (max of 30) so we can keep in track of everyone's progress.
Please state your age, height, current weight, goal weight, your current diet and exercise regime and what you are having difficulty with losing weight (if you have one)
Current weight:124 lbs
Goal weight: 119 lbs
Current diet: Healthy foods, 5 servings of veggie in a day, 1 serving of fruit (averaging about 1650 calories a day)
Weigh in is every Sunday Morning
Count me in. Im 28, 5'4'', weigh about 58 kgs and my goal weight is 53-54 kgs.
Let's see how it goes :)
Hey! I would need some motivation too. I'm 24, 166cm and currently 60kg, trying to tone up and loose about 5kg of fat :)
Hope we can do it together!
How often do you exercise? I was able to get down to my ideal weight before with (3 times a week of 1.5 hour of exercise) and a sensible diet. Also, when you exercise don't just stop at cardio, do lift weights as well. It increases your muscle mass and boost your metabolism. Not to mention tones your body.
I also want 19% body fat. I've done P90x before but had to move to another state and I wasn't able to complete it. I look buffed and fit but I definitely weighed more. Did you try getting your body fat tested?
Welcome girls! This is going well. I'm glad you joined this support group! We can have weekly weight ins (let's say every Saturday). Also, if you are on your period you don't have to weigh in since everyone knows how water bloating can change someone's weight significantly.

Yes i attend a gym and they have this handheld machine that measures body fat. i haven't tried p90x but for me Insanity was super hard. I thought i didn't have time for it because i have school and work. But i keep telling myself i need to look good in bed lol. How long were you in the program for? Did you see any change?
Yeah those handheld machines are pretty much inaccurate as well as those you step on that uses Bioelectric Impedance. I once measure 15% BF which I know is too low for me. I only did a month of p90x out of 3 months and I've noticed significant changes. You should give it a try

Oh wow thanks i wasn't aware of that. Im determined to show my abbs by September 3rd, im going to the bay for labor day weekend. I have alot of muscle in my stomach with a little muffin top. My plans are going on a 1300 calorie diet and burning 800calories a day. Is that safe though?
That might be a little too low. Sometimes if you eat too low of caloric amount or exercise too much your body goes into a panic mode and ironically makes it harder for you to lose weight. Try starting at 1500 calories and exercising at least 4 times a week. By the way you can google DXA scan or hydrostatic body fat testing. These tests will give you accurate results. Good luck. Update us about your progress.
I see you changed the original post and asked about our current diets. Cool idea!
I absolutely love veggies, so I usually eat a ton of them. (No, seriously!). My weaknesses are sweets and alcohol. Very easy to get lost caloriewise, if you're having half a bottle of wine and a bar of chocolate after your big ass salad lol
Currently I eat pretty much anything, not a finicky eater, and I like to cook and try new things. I want to switch to a paleo diet in the long run (that's a grain free diet) but I want to research it thoroughly first.
By the way, if you want nice abs, quitting grains and sugar (and maybe fruit) may be a good idea. Carbs store three times their weight in water, and I usually notice a difference in my belly if I eat almost no carbs. Of course you don't want to overdo it or start eating unhealthy, but grains and sugar are empty calories.
Unfortunately, I tend to have some problems with IBS which seem to get worse when I consume fruit or big amounts of vegetables. I blame fruit sugars, but not quite sure. It really sucks, my body stomachs junk food pretty well, but healthy food gives me severe bloating
Oh well I am still trying to figure it all out :)
I also don't have a car, and walk everywhere or ride my bike, and my apartment is on 5th floor with no elevator. Shopping for food, with bags full of groceries, is exercise lol
I have two jobs, one is a paper route (but I'm not doing that every month) and it's about 9kms. Even without the route, I tend to walk 5-10kms every day.
Unless I'm sick, and have to stay in bed. Like now :(
I'm 24 years old 5'3'' and 149-150 lbs currently. I used to weigh about 120- lbs about 2 years ago. I slowly gained weight in after giving birth. I want to look good.

I would like to lose the last 9.5lb before summer finishes :D good luck girls
Currently with Slimming World and doing calorie count as they go hand in hand.
I'll add all of you guys to my list of supported friends in the Calorie Camp section. Feel free to add me as well :)
We can read each others logs, and comment on them. I think it helps a lot with motivation.
