I am a university student and there are times when I have to pull an all-nighter to finish papers/assigments. But I find it very strange that, every time I do stay up all night working away, I need to be eating constantly (thankfully, I don't stay up that often on average). Whether it is munching on grapes, celery, cookies, popcron etc. It doesn't really matter what the food is, but I do find myself eating alot.
Is it just me?

I work nights, 7pm-6:30am and I ALWAYS want to eat more on the nights I work than on the days that I'm off. I dunno why but I can tell you its not just you...
I think scientifically it has something to do with your brain and sleep deprivation. I don't have any articles to back that up handy at the moment, but I do believe I have read about that before. Might be something worth Googling. =)
part of it is eating to keep urself awake (i.e. if ur chewing ur awake and working) and the "real" hunger part is your body eating to stay awake-- obviously you need more calories to stay up late at night to keep everything going, especially since your body would normally be repairing itself.
there are lots of articles about it and probably even some scientific studies but yeah the snacking is normal and part of your body's natural need to fuel the fire. just pick healthy and sustaining snacks and ull be ok.
