I'm going to Greece with a school group at the beginning of April and we're staying in a hotel that's on the beach, so obviously I want to swim... but I feel so uncomfortable and FLABBY in a bikini. I'll look totally stupid if I don't go swimming, or just walk in up to my knees in shorts or something. Are there any quick fix solutions? Ab workouts that don't take months to start working?
I do not like to wear bathing suits, but I few years ago I bought a tankini. I love it. It has a box cut for the bottom, very comfortable.
Wear a one piece.
The only effective ab workout is cardio, unfortunately. In order to see any toning, you have to burn the layer of fat over the muscles which can only happen with work outs that raise the heartrate and burn fat.
You can do a thousand crunches and not see any difference, so don't torture yourself with that. = ).
I'd drop all sugar and seriously limit the 'bad' carbs (white flour, bread, pasta etc) and up the brisk walks, jogs, treadmill etc.
Not a very fast fix, but like some said, you can choose a bathing suit that flatters your shape and minimizes the problem areas in the mean time.
I totally understand, I starting doing some leg lifts and things from a tear out in this month's Cosmopolitan. I have been doing it for 3 days and already see at least a tightening and slimming in my not so slim abdomen.
Other than that I recomend taking water pills that will take any bloating away that makes you look ponchy too. Other than that a tankini is a great option I wore one to the beach for spring break last year and thought i looked terrible till i saw the pictures and i looked really nice in them.
Best of luck, remember there are always going to be terrible looking people on the beach so you def wont be the center of bad attention.
You're beautiful and have a great body no matter what you look like to the world as long as you are happy with it.

Thanks so much! I actually saw the tear out in my copy of Cosmo, so I'll try those! Is it the front leg lifts one you're referring to?
