Health-O-Meter is a reputable brand.  They go from reasonable to expensive but this one LINK is mine and I find it a great in between compromise.

My parents owned one of those balance scales with a bar that extends upward from the base and a lever you slide left to right to determine your weight in an dr's office.  Those tend to be very accurate but take up more room and are more expensive.

You might consider looking up 'scales' on Amazon and see which get the best ratings but make sure there a number of review and not just a few because that could be misleading.

I think I have tried EVERY scale on the market! I would get mad and take tham back because NONE of them were accurate. Then I went and splurged a little and bought mine. Its a LIFESOURCE scale and costs about $100 but it is well worth it. I have had it for over 2 months now. Its made by a company that makes scales for doctors offices.

Mine is a Tanita....does wgt (to the closest .2 lbs,) bodyfat, and hydration.

As only a submersion test is truly accurate for bodyfat, the % given by any scale should not be taken as gospel.  It is, however, useful in determining if your bodyfat is going up or down...

I bought it awhile ago at Bed Bath & Beyond with a coupon so I don't remember how much it cost....but I know it wasn't much...maybe $40?

I just purchased a scale from Amazon that is made by Taylor.  It cost less than $20 and I am very happy with it.  It is accurate and consistent and only differs by .2 lbs at the most which to me is very little.  I bought it thinking if it didn't work for me, it was only a small amount of money that had been spent but it has turned out great.

Sears has the "weight watchers" scale.  I've had problems in the past with 2+ scales and find this to be v. good and accurate.
I second the taylor line.

I got one similar to this one

Accurate and steady readouts.
