I haaaaaate weighing myself. It's just like a sentencing and when I do, I feel like there's no hope. But, I've recently actually started to really try to lose weight. I've gained quite a bit and I know I won't be happy with how much I weigh. Do you think I should weigh myself and just get it over with or should I measure myself?
I put my scale away about a month ago. I have been much, much happier ever since.
Try measuring yourself.

I say do both. I know the scale is so annoying, but it really will help and it is a quicker way to plot your progress. Also, it will keep you on track. I don't like the scale either, but I've decided to give it another try and it has been working. (This was at the advice of my sister who lost 45 lbs and has kept it off for 2 years.) She still weighs herself.
