Not worried - I had a great week.  The scale is reflecting hormones and salt - I did a tape measure check and I have lost just over 9 inches in two weeks - the tape measure is king!!

 I know i'm losing the average you're supposed to but i feel frustrated because i don't think i'm goin to get to my goal before the new year :(  I still have almost 15 more pounds to lose...this sucks!

 Hey!  I have had to revise my goals and I understand your frustration.  I didn't have a lot to lose and it seems like the less you have to lose the slower it comes off.  The good news is that losing weight slowly will make it easier to maintain once we reach our goals.  Don't give up!  You are making good progress.  Good luck!

Weight loss so far: -1.1 lbs!

This week was basically awful. I start my days out great and end them eating WAY too many calories, feeling guilty, and repeating the cycle the next day. I don't have anything to blame this on except for myself, which is annoying.

Having said that, I've only gained back a pound. It's not the end of the world, or even the end of my diet. It's also the first time in my dieting-lifestyle-changing-process that I've even had a real gain over the course of a week!

I'm just really worried because the next few weeks are going to be especially stressful for me, given that I have to make it through finals, Thanksgiving, and eventually be able to wear a bikini in public....not the best of circumstances!

I'm so glad that I have to acknowledge this problem out loud (in a manner of speaking). Part of the reason that my diets always fail is that I don't hold myself accountable. I celebrate the successes publicly but hide my failures. This forum/challenge has at least forced me to tell other people about my failures without it being a complete guilt trip/negative experience.

Here's to a better week next week, cause it sure as hell is not over yet!

Wow, completely forgot to post this but that was my Friday weigh-in. Ate SO MUCH over the weekend and it's TOM so I'm expecting a pretty bad weigh-in this Friday. Even though I know it'll only be water weight/retention :(

Shew, got through the weekend!  Overall, I think I did ok.  I ate healthy except that one meal and some chocolate here and there.I went to a brazillian steak house on saturday and probably ate too much, but who knows!  I have no clue how to count those kind of calories.  I think it worked out ok because we went on a long bike ride before hand.  

Now comes the really hard week!!  I am leaving wednesday for my parent's place and staying there till sunday.  It's gonna be tough but my strategy is to avoid the alcohol, bring my own fruit, veggies, snacks, and healthier bread because my parent's eat like crap, and to bring my scale.  It sounds kinda silly, but I want a consistent weigh in!  Oh, also, Hubby agreed to help keep me accountable by going through my food and activity logs each evening!  I think that will really help!  I don't want to be a downer to the family by not partaking in the merriment, but I am going to do my best to not make it obvious.

In other news - I just found out I lowered my cholesterol to within the healthy range.  It is 194.  Yay!  It was 268 in August when I last had it checked and started this journey.  I am really proud of myself!
