I'm 5'0" and I currently weigh 175. I know there is another short girls thread, but most of them seem to already weigh 120.
So anyway, I need some big time motivation. Weekly weigh ins, advice, encouragement, etc....and I'm betting that some of you out there could do the same.
So how about it?
I'm 5'2 and almost 53 and after a bad accident that involved months of bed rest, I got up to 167 pounds. I used to be 130. I have three children, one still at home, so I'm going through the empty nesting phase which is hard too. I would like to lose 40 to 50 pounds. One of my biggest problems is the scale - I lose 5 pounds and then the very next day it's back on and then it's down again. I know I should weigh myself once a week but it's hard. I'm doing yoga three times a week and hiking or the elliptical machine and I am eating well but the weigh isn't dropping off. I would love to join this group. Need support and women who underdstand.
177.8 today........ I've been avoiding sweets for the weekand choosing healther food options in general, and it's showing up on the scale... actually it's not showing up on the scale, lol as in my weight is dropping. I've been walking on my treadmill most days at a slow pace of under 2.5 mph, but I use the incline now. I'm at 4% this week and I am going to see if I can up it 1% each week- 2 weeks.
I'm feeling excited as we go through this last part of summer and head to the cooler fall weather here. I hope this is the start of something good :)
I'm Ashleigh....I am 4' 11 1/2" and I currently weigh 179. I started cc back in January but only lasted a couple of weeks. I started back counting calories the end of Julyish starting at 185. I have lost about 6-7 lbs. My ultimate goal is t be down to 115. I have had three kids in the last 6 years. I have a 5 year old son and twin boys who will be 3 on Monday.....the weight has crept on slowly over the years but a major increase in the last year alone. I went back to school right after my twins were born and just started making poor choices in food and grabbing whatever was convenient. I used to be very physically fit....it is very depressing as this is the largest I have EVER been. I never thought I would see the day when I had to buy size 16 pants....I need all the support I can get!!
Today's a great day! I hit the 180s!!! I was 188.7 last night, and today 189.4. that means, that since last Wednesday, I have lost 3lbs!!!! AND, TOM hit this weekend. Which means by end of the week, I'm hoping to see even more of a loss! Even with the slight increase! I am thrilled. When I hit 188 again, I will have lost 20 lbs!!!! This is an exciting moment for me and I just had to share with all of my groups and posts!!!!! Hope everyone else had a great weekend!!!
My goal weight is 130 pounds.
Hey there! I'm just barely 5'3" and weighing in at 177 at the age of 22. I've always been a tad chunky but never "fat" until I had my first child and soared up to 213 pounds. Whoever said eating for two is on my crap list. The highest I had gotten before my pregnancy was 150lbs, and now I'm striving to get back to that pre-pregnancy weight. And if I can get to that, my dream goal back to 125lbs. Started CC a while back but in these three years I've been flip flopping with my weight. The lowest I seem to always get is 174, and then I pop back up. A week and a half ago I was 186 when I decided I needed to try again, and I am glad to say I am much more dedicated this time around. Gym membership, counting calories like mad, and dragging around an everlasting water bottle.

Hi I was wondering if it's not too late to join this group I'm 5' 0 and weigh 164lbs. I'm 17 years old and have gained a lot of weight and for once in my life I want to be able to look at a picture of myself and not critique how big I look. So my goal is that for senior prom I want to look and feel good. So I have a six month challenge that will take me to my 18th birthday in feb to loose 10lbs a month.
I hope it's not too late because I'm joining now too! If it is too late, anyone is welcome to PM me! I'm 26 years old, 5'2 and at my heaviest weight of 160lbs. I was always very healthy and fit. I never one faultered on my gym program for longer than a week, for around 7 years. I got into a bit of a pickle the last 2 years and my stress levels went way up. As a result I lost and gained so much weight over the time.
I am now at my heaviest ever of 160lbs. I never usaed to weigh myself too much as I used to suffer from ED's when I was younger. I was usually around 155-130lbs depending on whether I was weight lifting or not.
I want to be back down to 130ish. I was never happy when I was that weight either. I always took it for granted! Now I think I was stupid because I was only a size 2-4 (due to hips, thighs, bum and boobs). Now I am around a size 8-10 which is far too much for my frame! I want my old body back and I make a promise than if I get there...correction...when I get there...I will not abuse my body mentally, physically or emotionally again and I will look after it and love it in all it's glory!
You don't realise what you've got til it's gone! So...160lbs today...and here the journey starts...
I'm Sam, I'm 5'3" and around 178.
I want to get down to 125-130 but I don't know how realistic that is due to my muscle mass and lifting. I'm currently training to take the police officer physical abilities test.
My goals have generally been focused on lifting heavy and my physical abilities instead of weight but after realizing that losing the weight is going to help me I've decided to really focus on that until January.
For physical activity I lift 5 days a week, 2 spinning classes, run 3-5 days a week, 2 days of pole dancing, 1 day with ariel silks, 1 generic dance.
I started in January of this year and have been posting my weight as of January 11th, 2012 to keep things consistent. I weighed more at the Doctor's office. I am 5'2" and as I am 64, it does not take too many calories to start gaining. Luckily I am somewhat active. This is my record so far:
Jan. 10, 2012: 173.4
Feb. 29, 2012: 167.4
Mar. 31, 2012: 163.6
Apr. 30, 2012: 162.8
May 31, 2012: 158.8
June 30, 2012: 157.8
July 31, 2012: 155.4
I am 153.4 as of Aug. 27 so 20 pounds down. I bought a new pair of Capri's in a smaller size and it feels great. It has been a slow weight loss but not that unusual for someone my age. My first goal is 134 to put me in the highest of the healthy range and then readjust lower when I get to my first goal. I want to encourage everyone 5'4" and lower to reach their goal. You can do this. Cheers.
