this may seem like a weird question...but what sizes have you all been at what weights? for example.. 160 at size 12...or something (I have no idea, it's why I'm asking :)

At my heaviest weight, I was 255 lbs and wore size 20/22 pants and 18/20 shirts.  My current weight is 193lbs and I wear size 12 pants and size large shirts.  One thing that kept me motivated during my initial weight loss was going down a size at a time.  I would enjoy buying new pants in a smaller size and felt a sense of accomplishment.  My goal weight is 140-150 and hopefully size 6.  Keep up the great work everyone!! =)

5'7", 135, modern size 6/8, sewing pattern size 12.

When I was 174 I was about a size 12/14, pattern size . . . I'm not sure.  I mostly sew old patterns so I was a 20-40, but that means a bust 38-40, not a modern 20.

height: 5'9

weight: 162

waist: 31"

pant: 12 is loose, 10 is snug. Right in between.

bra: 34B

Shirt: large (I have fat arms! My torso is small but I carry weight in my arms so they don't fit through the armholes of size medium).

Sometimes I can squeeze into a size 8 dress if it's not too small around the ribcage. But it usually is. Sigh. I don't think I'll ever get into an 8, regardless of my weight. I dont have any fat left on my upper torso or back. It's all in my butt and thighs.

At my heaviest I was 297lb and wore a size 26 pant, 24 top.

For those taller/bigger girls who complain about having to lose a lot more weight to go down a single size, it's true, you have bigger bodies so your weight is distributed over a larger area, thus you need to lose more to make your body smaller. But think of it as a bonus too: because if you gain 5 pounds, it won't be nearly as apparent as it would if you were shorter. There's a much greater margin of error for taller girls. Nobody has it better than anyone else, there are benefits for each body type. Small girls can go down a size by losing 5 pounds, larger girls can stay in the same size if they happen to have a bad week/month and pack on a few pounds.

Wow....this post is fascinating.  It is incredible how different weights can be carried so differently!

Right now, I am almost 350lbs and wear a size 34, 46H in bras.

At 250lbs I wore a size 22 and a 44DDD in bras.

My lowest weight was 175 (I actually really liked the way I looked there!).  Then I wore a size 14 in pants and a 10-12 in tops.  I wore a 36DD in bras.

And, I'm 5'7" ish.

5'4" 115...size 2 Bra size-I couldn't s ay...nursing all these kids, then not nursing...never consistent... 120 pounds...size 4 125 pounds...size 6

I noticed with every five pounds I lost, I also lost a size.

I was pregnant four times. Every time I lost baby weight, I followed this pattern.

Wow.  It's been a general rule for me that I lose a dress size for every 20lbs I lose.  With, a few exceptions.  Last summer, I lost two dress sizes while gaining 3lbs.  And I remember once, after beginning weight lifting, I gained 10lbs and lost a dress size.  For me, I guess, actual size is going to be a better measure for me than weight.

A Week of Clean-Eating Dinners
I’m trying to give my eating habits a little cleanup these days. It’s easy to pay close attention to what I’m eating on the weekends when I’ve got tons of time on my hands to prepare delicious meals, but during the week when time is less available I feel the pull of convenience foods for their, well, convenience. Here’s what I try to live by when all I have is 30 minutes to prepare a "clean" meal.
