SOOO hungry!!! but so close to my limit....

today i consumed 1,391 calories.... that is 9 calories away from my limit!! but i ate dinner reallly early. i ate a lot of fruit for dessert but that was at around 4:30 and now i am hungry!! i dont want to go over my limit..... but i want to eat!! i have a few saturn peaches (60 cal. each) and a bag of unpopped unbuttered popcorn (entire bag 60 cal) i burned 2,442 calories i think.... since thats what myactivity level says. should i eat?? its late (almost 9 here) and i am worried.... dont want to gain!!

Don't stress yourself over one day, and don't starve yourself. Eat, and try again tomorrow :)

but i messed up really bad 2 days ago and went over 2,000 calories..... i am worried i am gonna keep messing up and going over my limit repeatedly.... i am just scared cause even though this would only bring me 51 calories over my limit i am terrified to gain even an ounce of weight because i used to be soooo fat (5'5 and 165.... i am now 5'5 or 5'6 and 140-145ish.... still need to lose alot but not as bad....)
a 1000 cal deficit is the maximum recommended.  So right now your at a 10 on a scale of 1-10 for effort and achievement.  And today your starving.  Eat, my girl.  I did that last night.  200 cals - yep and I don't feel guilty one little bit.   Over the long haul 100-200 cals is not significant but it will keep you motivated, healthy, and happy.  Oatmeal is good, low cals.  Protein is key it will stave off the hunger and takes calories to burn.

i never liked oatmeal ever.... my favorite low cal snack is unbuttered popcorn, also pears and nectarines (i dont have any right now). i am still thinking of eating.... wait 30 calories of what i ate today was gum.... (3 sticks of big red over the day) should i like subtract that? i heard you burn more calories chewing gum than calories come from it....
at days like this just go for a run or a walk, and it's actually better to eat more and be more physically active than eat less and be less physically active.

the more you eat, the less efficient your body's metabolism -> you burn more calories.

anyway you should not starve yourself.. if you're hungry eat a fruit or something, just make sure you don't eat lots in a short period of time.

when you starve yourself your body's metabolism becomes more efficient, this means burning less fat and extracting protein from muscle tissue, sending it to the liver which turns the protein into carb, the carbs are then used to keep you alive basically.

you should never be starving, ever.

make sure you spread out your food consumption all day long, that way less will go to your fat cells and the less starved you'll be.
alyxx: you also burn calories digesting food, cucumber for example got a negative caloric value. if you want you can eat it all day long and call it tummie excercise :)

usually foods high in fibers and low on calories are the ones with negative caloric value.
Try having a bowl of soup. Just put water in a bowl, throw in a beef/chicken/vegetarian stock cube, and bam! I find that hot things fill me up more than cold things. Don't worry about going over your sodium for one day - just drink plenty of water tomorrow. :)
just relax...you cant live your life in fear of gaining a tiny bit of weight overnight...whats the fun in that? besides, having a low cal snack to prevent you from going insane from hunger pangs will not make you gain any weight
